At Wasco, safety is more than just a priority—it is a core value that defines our workplace culture. On 27 January 2025, Wasco Process Engineering proudly hosted its annual Safety Day together with the Chinese New Year celebration, an event dedicated to promoting and reinforcing workplace safety, best practices, and employee well-being. This year’s Safety Day was extra special as it was celebrated alongside our Chinese New Year Lunch, fostering not only a strong safety culture but also unity and appreciation among employees. With a workforce of 530 dedicated individuals—380 factory workers and 150 office staff—this event reflected our collective commitment to safety, teamwork, and progress. 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 We have achieved 4,310,935 Lost Time (LT) Free Man-Hours to date, with a total of 1,149,855 Man-Hours worked in 2024. These remarkable safety achievements underscore our dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Every milestone we reach is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our employees in upholding the highest safety standards. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 To honour those who have gone above and beyond in fostering a safe workplace, management proudly presented awards in the following categories: - 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 – Recognising individuals who consistently adhere to safety regulations and demonstrate outstanding commitment to safety protocols. - 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 – Highlighting the importance of the 5S Housekeeping methodology by recognising employees who maintain cleanliness, order, and efficiency. - 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 – Celebrating proactive reporting and hazard identification to prevent workplace incidents and enhance safety awareness. Following the safety awards, employees gathered for a festive Chinese New Year Lunch, symbolising prosperity, togetherness, and appreciation for the hard work put in throughout the year. The celebration was filled with delicious food, cultural appreciation, and shared joy, reinforcing the strong bonds that unite us as a team. On 24 January 2025, Wasco Process Engineering gathered its workforce at Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort, Pulau Carey, for a meaningful day of reflection, strategic updates, and celebration. The day kicked off with a Townhall Meeting led by Shan Karupiah, CEO of Wasco’s Engineering & Fabrication Division, where key milestones, project achievements, and growth areas were shared. Today, we gathered for a vibrant and meaningful Chinese New Year celebration, bringing together #TeamWasco for a day filled with rich traditions, cultural appreciation, and joyful memories. The celebration began with the lively tradition of Yee Sang tossing, symbolising abundance, prosperity, and good fortune. The room was filled with excitement as everyone tossed the colourful ingredients high, exchanging laughter and well-wishes for the year ahead. The sea of red attire, proudly worn by all, added to the festive atmosphere, symbolising good luck and happiness. A unique highlight of this year’s celebration was the Chinese calligraphy session, where senior leaders showcased their skills by writing meaningful characters symbolising key values for the year ahead. These included 吉 (Ji) for luck, 喜 (Xi) for happiness, and 财 (Cai) for wealth—setting the tone for success and positivity at Wasco. Following the calligraphy activity, we enjoyed a delicious CNY lunch and celebrated our February birthday babies, adding extra joy to the event. The festivities concluded with a dynamic lion dance performance, a powerful symbol of strength, prosperity, and protection. On 15 December 2024, PT Wasco Engineering Indonesia hosted its first Corporate Badminton Tournament at TM Square, Batam. More than 60 #TeamWasco swapped desks for courts, stepping out of their departments and comfort zones to rally for something bigger than the game itself—connection.   Paired randomly across departments, players discovered new teammates in colleagues they might never have interacted with otherwise. Titles and roles faded into the background, replaced by laughter, encouragement, and the unmistakable squeak of sneakers on the court. In a world where silos can feel immovable, a simple game of badminton managed to build bridges that meetings never could.   The Day’s Champions:   Men’s Doubles Group A - Champions: Erick Firmansyah & Destria Dedik Kurnadi - Runners-Up: Christiansen Fernando & Muhamad Rivan Fauzy   ⁠Men’s Doubles Group B - Champions: Fauzan Rahman & Rachmat Yanuar Hidayat - Runners-Up: Devi Naldi & Rudi Putera   Women’s Doubles Group C - Champions: Nana Puja Zamrud & Amalia Eka Priyandini - Runners-Up: Amelia Christin Taliwongso & Maisyarawati   But the real victory was not etched on the scoreboard. These initiatives are more than internal engagement—they are investments in the human side of the business, a critical component as Wasco navigates an increasingly competitive energy market.   As the shuttles settled and the cheers quieted, an idea emerged: could this become a larger tradition? An annual Wasco-wide championship, perhaps, or even an invitational tournament bringing clients and media into the fold? Wasco has completed its pipe coating work for the Porthos project, marking a significant step in Europe’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) efforts. In partnership with CORINTH PIPEWORKS, the 22-kilometre offshore pipeline is now ready for transport to the Netherlands.   Designed to safely transport captured CO2 from the Porthos compressor station to the repurposed P18-A platform in the North Sea, the pipeline highlights growing efforts to meet Europe’s climate goals.
