Who Did The Real Work? 🌲 A Salute to Women's Unseen Labor. As we reflect on the magic of the holiday season, acknowledging the invisible labor that makes Christmas truly special is well worth a pause to be grateful. It's a well-known fact that women often do the heavy lifting to ensure the festivities go off without a hitch. From planning the perfect family gatherings to wrapping gifts and cooking elaborate meals, their contributions are immense and often go unnoticed. 1️⃣ The Emotional Labor: Women frequently shoulder the emotional labor of maintaining family traditions, ensuring everyone feels included and cherished. This unseen effort is fundamental to the warmth and joy we associate with the holidays. 2️⃣ The Planning and Coordination: Behind every seamless holiday celebration is meticulous planning and coordination. Women often take on the roles of organizers, ensuring that everything from the tree decorations to the holiday menu is perfect. 3️⃣ The Dual Burden: For many women, the holiday season adds an extra layer of responsibility on top of their everyday roles, whether at work or home. Balancing professional duties with the demands of holiday preparations is no small feat. 4️⃣ The Cultural Expectations: Society often places the expectation of holiday cheer squarely on women's shoulders. This cultural norm can lead to feelings of stress and pressure to meet an idealized version of Christmas. It's time we recognize and appreciate the immense labor that women invest in making the holiday season magical. Their efforts should not be taken for granted or go unrecognized. #WhoTheHeckMovedMyTiara #HolidayHeroes #InvisibleLabor #WomenEmpowerment #Equality #HolidaySeason.

Allys Are Not Born. They are made! Rome was not built in a day. It took me more then 2 years to research on why hashtag #empowering hashtag #futurewomen as leaders is critical. It took me hundreads of hours while I read and followed other thought leaders who shared their knowledge and expertise on hashtag #womenempowerment and why in the DEI space, there are dots to connect. It took me courage to find my voice to speak and write about the hashtag #intersectional space where women of colour🤵🏽♀️👩🏽🦱🧑🦱👩🏽🦰 are discriminated to be represented in positions of power. It took me moments of breakthroughs to write and talk about the hashtag #systemic and hashtag #structural barriers that is NOT addressed to have a truely hashtag #inclusive workplace. It took me many Zoom call conversations with colleagues in US, UK, Europe and in Malaysia to position my work on WhoTheHeckMovedMyTiara as the current group coaching work. It took me a mixture of hashtag #selfdoubt and hashtag #whynotme moments to present my work in New York2023. It took Roshnee Rajasingam and Peter Wyss, PMP, FIRSE, MIET, CMC to invite me to sign the collaborative partnership agreement between GameChange Coaching Consultancy and PMCC - PROGRESSIVE MINDSET COACHING & COMMUNICATION to launch this work. On 18th October 2024, the workshop on group coaching hashtag #ThePowerMindForFuture hashtag #WomenLeaders was successfully completed. More to share... Can Women Save The World. Gender equity is no more a 'nice to talk' about topic. Neither it is a conference topic as the momentum towards lets 'walkthetalk' picks up. While, we listen to Oprah Winfrey asking that question, I ask the question, so, what's happening on women empowerment in SE Asia and in Malaysia where I live and work. Creating a culture of equality is a 'nice topic at conferences'. And, I am done with that! In the recent marketting drive to launch Coaching The Power Mind For Future Women Leaders Program in Kuala Lumpur, we hit upon some interesting glitches: 1. Women in middlemanagement are eager to develop their leadership capabilities. 2. This work seems to land with HR and not clear if it moves any further. 3. What this highligted for me is, unless HR has a well defined policy to develop their women talent pipeline, it is up to HR to work this out. 4. The gap between intent to develop the women talent pool and actual execution of that intent needs scrutiny. Let's break the rhetoric of making false promises by saying we believe in gender diversity and will invest in having an inclusive gendered workforce and do little to actualize it. The time is NOW! to make it happen. Enjoy listening to this.

Why is #feminine power in leadership needed in today's VUCA world? As an advocate on #genderequality and as I go on to promote women's empowerment work, #Navratri holds deep religious and cultural meaning for devotees. Each of the nine days is dedicated to a different form of Goddess Shakti, the divine #femininepower, emphasizing her many attributes, including #strength #compassion #protection. Today there is enough evidence of women leading in every sector from governance to activism at grass roots leadership. Here are 5 leadership competencies women bring to the table. 🥳 Higher hashtag #relational intelligence. 👑 Collaborative and hashtag #inclusive leadership style. 📣 hashtag #Empathy and Emotional Intelligence. 💃 Impactful hashtag #communications style using C-IQ. 🙋🏾♀️ hashtag #Resilience and Adaptability. There are many more leadership competencies women possess. And, in my soon to launch hashtag #CoachingThePowerMind For Future Women Leaders Program, I #coach women to master some of these qualities to unleash their potential. 🌟🎉WISHING ALL WOMEN HAPPY NAVARATHRI!🎉🌟⭐️ Activate to view larger image,

I am here. I am in control. I watched the 2024 Presidential Debate. Did you? As Vice President Kamala Harris for President, 2024 went over to Donald Trump to introduce herself and used her name as it should be pronounced, it was a 'moment' for all of us whose name is either mis-spelt, mis-pronounced or made fun of. With the intent of asserting one's identity in a world which is white and black, a space where only priveledge and power is assigned to a few, the light💡under which women of colour stand, is often a time gets diminishes and dimed. And, more so for women of colour. In my work on women empowerment, one of the issues women bring to the table is: 📢 'I need confidence'. 📢The women I coach are usually sponsered by their CHROs or MDs. 📢Organizations are recognizing that developing their women talent pipeline into C-Suite positions is about more then 'breaking the glass ceiling' and with the need to balance the gaps in gender under-representaion, this work is critical in a VUCA world. 📢As I listen, and we unpack that statement, I coach women to take ownership, take control and assert to claim the TIARA/CROWN and announce: I am HERE! ________________ My name is Vimala Suppiah. I coach bothe men and women to find their voice, their wings to fly and to claim their TIARA/CROWN to unlock their potential. _______________ Follow me on WhoTheHeckMovedMyTiara Vimala Suppiah PCC (ICF) Team Coach (EMCC) https://lnkd.in/daf3EqE7

Are you day-dreaming about being someone else, someone who has it all? Maybe in your fantasy world, you are the #leader everyone looks up to. Or maybe, you aspire to climb the corporate ladder into a C-Suite position. In my coaching work, I have successfully coached women in mid-level positions to C-Suite roles. And, what surprised me is how women approach the workplace differently from men when it comes to getting promoted. And, hence, women have a story in their head about their #confidence to be the best version of themselves. Or, it has to be the perfect CV to show that they deserve that role. And, they work harder but not smarter. In my work on #WhoTheHeckMovedMyTiara, promoting a sense of self-worth sometimes gets lost even when their true potential is recognized by those who see your worth. #Selfdoubt and #impostersyndrome become your true friends! As they sit on your shoulder, you set yourself to fail. Sometimes we play the game with a false narrative that being nice will win the game. As Oprah Winfrey asked Can-Women-Rule-The-World, that statement caught my attention for many reasons. When we are not playing to win but playing to be nice, we need a different strategy to #lead. Ever feel like breaking those self limiting beliefs? And, stop living someone else's dream? Watch out for more #tools and #tips on how to be your authentic self to lead with confidence, clarity and compassion.
