They replaced a broken fridge not fast but they did. Same hustle with a clogged sink. Room service is promised every other day, OK, on requests they finally managed it after 4 nights... They claimed that our prepaid amount was not paid and forced me to contact Trip dot com for clarification. Kind of strange. Our room came with street view which means a freeway + train line, see pic. With closed windows the noise was no issue for us, AC is working fine. For useful hints on the area ask the pretty nice janitor;)

Horrible customer service and cleanliness! I came from out of town hoping to spend a great weekend in Jack London square and the bay area only to check into a room with used female sanitary pads wrapped up on the bathroom sink. I informed the front desk worker only to be told I would have to wait until he could get someone to clean the room. I then asked if I could have another room instead which he then offered. I went to the new room only to be disappointed as it had clumps of hair scattered on the floor. Frustrated, I complained again. Tired from a day of traveling and having to move my bags from one room to another on different floors, I just cleaned the hair up myself and stayed in the room. I would have left and checked into another hotel but there were none available at the time. After checking out the next day, I was told to contact the manager Mr. Singh concerning my complaints. I called and emailed him for five straight days only to be ignored and given the run around by his employees. I will never come here again and I would advise you not to either.

The hotel was very clean in and out. I truly enjoyed the night there. All necessary amenities ( refrigerator, safe, iron, microwave, coffee maker, multiple power outlets etc) were readily available in the room . The bed and sheets were great and comfortable. Hi 👋

After a rough experience before arriving at the hotel—my car’s back window was smashed, and a piece of my luggage was stolen—I checked in feeling quite shaken. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff showed genuine kindness and support. Special thanks to Philippios and Armando from valet parking, who went above and beyond by spending two hours helping me clean up the broken glass and patching my back window, ensuring I could drive home safely the next day. Their incredible hospitality has made me a loyal Hyatt customer for life.

Location in the middle of Oakland was convenient. Room was exceptional, but lack of a coin laundry (you had to download an app and recharge a balance) was annoying to say the least.

Very impressed by the Broadway Motel. A friend and I have been traveling down the west coast and were a bit skeptical of this location at first due to the location and 'motel' in the name.... 5 freaking star!!! The owners were very helpful in getting us a last min room, even allowing us to check into our room 2 hrs before normal check-in! The inside of the room looks like a cute beach feel hotel while the outside protects you and your car behind coded gates. Nighttime is even better... they have those cute Costco lights that hang in-between the complex for a fully lit entrance and exit from your room to your car! Very happy with this experience... this is actually the 3rd review I have ever left..... That's how the Broadway Motel exceeded my expectations and experience in DT Oakland!!! Thank you!
