“Success begins in the mind and flourishs through resilience”. It is with immense gratitude and joy that I close a transformative chapter of my life as I officially graduate 🎓from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) with a First class honors (4.81/5.0 CGPA) in Food Science and Technology as well as the best graduating student in both my department and faculty. Reflecting on the journey that shaped me, is the strong belief in the power of positive mindset and resilience. The path wasn’t without challenges but I approached each one with the conviction that “if others had excelled before me, so could I”- coupled with focus, passion, determination and hard work. I believe there’s no limit to what one can achieve once you put your mind to it . Above all, I’m grateful to Allah and glad I made it through to witness today. Which of the favors of my lord can I deny? (Q55:13) Absolutely None!. I remember gaining admission into FUTA in 2018 and was super excited with the thought of graduating by 2023. But then the path came with trials of Covid-19 and strike upon strike. In the end, I’m grateful to be alive to witness this moment, super excited and find this worthy to celebrate. Alongside my academic excellence, I was honored with several awards and recognitions including; 🏅Best graduating student in Food Science and Technology department 🏅Best graduating student in Faculty of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) 🏅The best graduating Female student class 23 🏅Awarded Dean’s prize for the student who had been placed on dean’s list for the greatest number of semesters. 🏅Awarded a prize for the highest CGPA in my faculty. 🏅Academic Excellence Award by Engr.(Dr.)Gbenga Ayodele Owolabi. 🏅Scholarship Award by Futa Alumni Association, diaspora chapter as the student having the highest CGPA in my faculty in 200l. 🏅Award of Excellence by NAFSTS, Futa chapter. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of my family, mentors (Ridwan Opeyemi Bello, Ibrahim Isiaka, Halimat Chisom Atanda, Salihaat Okunlola, Akinwumi Ishola Abeeb, Yusuf Olapade, Awwal Adebisi ) some who took their time to conduct tutorial lessons on campus, my supervisor (Prof. V.N Enujiugha), lecturers Olusola Jolayemi and peers who walked this path with me and cheered me on at every step. Special thanks to Abdulkabir Aliu Foundation (AAF) for sponsoring my Education. As I turn this page, I am eager to embrace new opportunities that will allow me to further my studies, expand my horizons and contribute to impactful solutions in food science on a global scale.
