I was honoured to represent Eja-Ice Nigeria Limited at the fireside chat with Tony Fadell and a few other start-ups organized by UNDP here in Lagos. It was Tony Fadell's first time in Nigeria and the experience was a great one. We, the start-ups had the opportunity to ask questions about how he was able to manage challenges and he went all out to supply answers based on his experience, the chat lasted for almost an hour and every seconds spent in that room was worthwhile. Here are my key takeaways..... Start with a clear vision: Tony emphasizes the importance of having a clear vision for your product or project from the very beginning. Focus on the user experience: He stresses the significance of understanding and prioritizing the user's needs and preferences throughout the design process. Iterate and iterate: Fadell advocates for a process of continuous iteration and refinement, allowing room for experimentation and improvement. Embrace failure: He encourages embracing failure as a natural part of the innovation process and learning from mistakes along the way. Build a great team: Tony emphasizes the importance of assembling a talented and diverse team with complementary skills and perspectives. Stay adaptable: He underscores the need to stay flexible and adaptable in the face of changing circumstances and market dynamics. Lastly, Learn how and when to say Yes and No, it would help you identify who your customers are and how to serve their needs. Appreciation goes to my indefatigable CEO Engineer Yusuf Oladipupo B. for this opportunity, I made the best use of the opportunity. Tony Fadell thank you for your time, for the shared lessons and for the book. UNDP thank you for organizing this, it was impactful. #Entrepreneurs #Sustainability
