Whether it's a listening ear, a helping hand, or a warm smile, you have the power to be the reason for someone's joy this season. The day an ice cream man saved our lives. Here’s what happened 👇 I left my apartment, boarded a bus to the market, and bought as many packages as I could afford. At one shop, the woman asked curiously, “What are all these for?” I smiled and whispered, “My community is visiting the motherless babies.” Only God knew the amount of prayers I received that day. When I arrived at our meeting point with my ladies, we headed to the orphanage. We spent the day chatting, praying, and laughing with the children. But then came a moment I’ll never forget. One of my ladies looked at me and said, “Benedicta, I’m hungry oo” 😂 And just like that, as if it were a miracle, an ice cream man appeared. I waved him over and asked my ladies to choose any flavor they wanted—but only the affordable ones (my pockets were empty by then 🥺). To my surprise, no one complained. We sat together, eating ice cream and talking about life. Looking back, I didn’t fully understand the depth of that moment. But now I do. Those little sacrifices? They meant everything. This year, as we celebrate LADIES WITH DIFFERENCE’s 3rd anniversary, we’re doing more than just an outreach—we’re hosting parties in Owerri and Lagos! (Is God not wonderful?) A few years ago, it began as a small gathering of purpose-driven, God-fearing ladies who understood their worth and refused to settle for less. The Founder, Benedicta C. Nwokedi, led with a simple vision: “To train women into ladies and help inculcate a lady-like mindset in them.” Now, three years later, our community has grown to 790+ remarkable ladies from all walks of life.
