One could see the genuine and unadulterated smiles on their faces. It takes man to plan, and God to execute. We are thrilled to announce that the 3rd Anniversary celebration of our Lagos branch, under Ladies with a Difference, was a resounding success. The event concluded with a heartfelt visit to the leaders of tomorrow. To everyone who contributed to making this occasion remarkable, may God richly bless you! The past few months have been an incredible whirlwind in Sri Lanka! I've been on a journey to understand the amazing history and culture of this island nation, from Kilinochchi all the way down to Batticaloa. It's been an eye-opening journey, especially working alongside Compassion International's local team, partners, and communities. We're co-creating a pilot program for Cash and Voucher Assistance, and it's all about putting people first in design. Today was all about data, data, data! Digging through field assessments, revisiting my notes from countless conversations, and finalizing those CVA recommendations. Let me tell you, there were a LOT of phone calls, double-checks, and cross-referencing to make sure everything was on point. Now, this might technically be a "pilot," but for the 600 families involved, it's a real lifeline. Over the next 6 months, this CVA program will help them address some of their most pressing needs. It's all part of Compassion International's bigger mission here in Sri Lanka—empowering marginalized children and youth for over a decade now. They're strengthening the foundation, and we're very happy to help navigate that! Let's be honest, most of my year has already been spent here, and the rest looks to be the same! Buckle up, because distributions start next month! (Cue the nervous excitement! ). Will there be enough supplies? How will the monsoon season play out? Elections? We've got a Plan B for (almost) everything! But seriously, the best-case scenario? Seeing lives transformed. Imagine families being more financially secure and resilient! That's what keeps me going!! We've been back in lovely Sri Lanka the last few weeks with Compassion International ! Last week we spent time in Kilinochchi with partner organisations, going over their needs and market assessment data and preparing them for the upcoming pilot distributions. One of the many highlights of that trip up North was when we got to make a pit stop at the sacred city of Anuradhapura, where some of the sites date back to 140 BC!! Aradhana Gurung and Suyog Raj Chalise are taking a moment just to soak in all of the history and beauty of these sacred sites. This week, we're preparing for the next round of partner workshops in Batticoloa and Trincomalee, but also celebrating Nepali, Sinhala and Tamil New Year's, what a treat! To all our friends, families and partners here's to a brand new year, another one full of adventures and opportunities! In Nepali, Naya Barshako Subhakamana 🇳🇵 In Tamil, Puththaandu Vazthukkal 🇱🇰 and in Sinhala, Suba Aluth Avruddak Wewa 🇱🇰 🙏🏾

Supporting domiciliary care workers is essential for the well-being of our most vulnerable populations and the sustainability of our healthcare systems. These carers provide vital, everyday support to individuals in need, often in their own homes, ensuring they can live independently with dignity and comfort. Despite the critical role they play, domiciliary care workers often face challenges such as low pay, limited recognition, and high turnover rates. By prioritizing their needs—through fair compensation, training, and recognition—we not only enhance the quality of care they provide but also foster a more resilient and compassionate healthcare workforce. Investing in domiciliary care workers ultimately benefits everyone, from the individuals they care for to the broader healthcare system. Let’s stand behind those who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others. #SupportCarers #DomiciliaryCare #HealthcareWorkforce #Caregivers #SustainabilityInCare To sign up to the amazing system from Progreso.ai Use Discount Code :Careconnectshow to get a good offer for your carers !

"They are our Heroes" Yesterday I spoke with Rejoice Bhila about her journey in the care sector. Coming from Zimbabwe, she and many of her carers feel the challenges of British weather in a whole new light. Being considerate of that and looking out for your team can go a long to keeping them fulfilled, resilient and delivering high quality care 🙌

gilgit baltistan's goodwill movement gbgm on the occasion of Azadi Day, On this Azadi Day, we, the members of the Gilgit-Baltistan's Goodwill Movement, proudly took part in a community-wide cleaning drive. As citizens dedicated to the betterment of our region, we understood the importance of not only celebrating our nation's independence but also taking active steps to enhance the health and beauty of our environment. However, it's important to note that this video contains some distressing scenes, as it reflects the harsh realities and challenges that our community faces daily. While we celebrate the spirit of independence, we must also confront the serious issues that plague our region, from widespread littering and pollution to the lack of basic infrastructure and resources needed to maintain cleanliness. These challenges, though difficult to witness, are shared to raise awareness and emphasize the urgency of addressing them. Our participation in this cleaning drive is just one step towards tackling these problems, but it underscores the need for collective action and support to create lasting change for Gilgit-Baltistan.

As folks welcome the holy month of Ramadan, it is an opportune time to foster an environment of respect, understanding, and support within our communities. Ramadan is a period of fasting, reflection, and community for those observing. Here are a few ways we can all contribute to an inclusive atmosphere: Acknowledge - Recognize the importance of Ramadan to your Muslim colleagues, friends, and neighbors. A simple greeting of "Ramadan Mubarak" can go a long way in showing your support. Be Considerate - Understand that fasting individuals abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to sunset. Scheduling meetings that don't center around meals or providing flexibility in work hours can be greatly appreciated. Learn and Share - Take this time to educate yourself and others about the significance of Ramadan. Sharing knowledge helps dispel myths and fosters a deeper understanding of diverse cultural practices. Support Fasting Friends - If you're hosting any event, consider offering options for those fasting, such as scheduling it after sunset or ensuring a quiet space for prayer. Engage in Community Events - Many communities host iftar (the meal to break the fast) gatherings. Attending such events, if invited, can be an excellent way to show solidarity and experience the communal aspect of Ramadan. By embracing these practices, we honor the diversity within our communities and strengthen the bonds that unite us. Ramadan Mubarak to all who observe!

A challenging time for our team in #Haiti, rather poignantly captured in this blog post from a long-term resident. Despite the resignation of the unelected prime minister there is little prospect that a transitional council (the membership of which will likely be announced tomorrow) will bring stability in the immediate term and the crisis of political legitimacy will endure, prolonging the suffering of the Haitian people. With international attention diverted to crises in #Gaza, #Ukraine and elsewhere, to say nothing of domestic election considerations, one hopes sufficient attention can be brought to bear to break the cycle of governance crises.
Our International staffer shares a poignant return to Port-au-Prince, juxtaposing memories of vibrant city life with the stark reality of today's #Haiti. Dive into their account, exploring the harsh transformation of a once-thriving capital now in the grips of turmoil, and discover the resilience of its people. 📍Celebrating milestones with your clients and team. One of the biggest decisions so far is saying NO to a partnership with 30,00 to 50,000 transactions. (Note: If you are not a migrant, then you would have no idea what I am doing!) While we are still early in the market, my priority is organic growth, building trust with our customers, improving our service and system, and ensuring we understand our clients and have a robust roadmap. I also prioritize understanding the financial environment, due diligence, compliance, financial system, and capital deployment. Part of our roadmap is forming the key people. The Key people not only have strong knowledge and expertise; these people must also have values and an appetite for innovations. Next year, I plan to build connections outside New Zealand, which could be strategic, distribution, or alliance. Exciting! Before 2025 starts, my team and I are celebrating at the South Waikato Christmas Celebration. We are rejoicing with our people, celebrating food and colourful culture. Come and celebrate with us! See you there

Dedication towards duty is most respectable...
Watch: Nilgiris’ Hero Postman Who Trekked 15 Kms Everyday For 10 Years D Sivan, a postman from Coonoor has braved thick forests, tough terrains, and attacks from wild animals for the last 30 years to deliver letters at some of the remotest villages on the Nilgiri Hills. In 1985, Sivan joined the Indian Postal Service as a stamp collector in Wellington, a town located near Coonoor, TN, and in 2010, he was made a Gram Dak Sevak (mail deliverer). Post to acknowledge the collaborative achievements of Kristal Kinsela, Justin Church and Maurice Walker (all in photo) as well as other Committee Members Sharon Williams, Robyn Martin, Barb Causon, Charmaine Barratt, and also deadly staff Suzanne Clarke and Nerida Gordon. Effective communication can be a challenge for many of us. It's important to acknowledge our shortcomings and identify areas for improvement. Since the Our Boori's, Our Way Symposium in October 2023, there have been changes and movements in the implementation of our Recommendations. As we make progress, we must also address and resolve any issues that arise. Our committee recently re-examined our governance, working with Kristal Kinsela to drive the changes we needed to achieve our goals for our Boori's and families. Good governance is crucial, and without it, problems may arise. Issues can also showup when different systems of governance interact. As we navigate challenges, we remain committed to effective communication and transparency. We will strive to keep our community informed and engaged as we work towards our shared goals. We are dedicated to driving more change for our babies and our families. Let's continue to work together to ensure that Our Boori's Our Way continues to be a model of progress for our community. #OurBoorisOurWay #governance #communication #kinselaconsulting

I would like to share a bit about how these two have successfully helped feed so many millions of people, using smart methods, hard work and community-driven programs. Both 🙋♀️Heidi and Brian have worked on the ground, in Kenya and other areas of the globe, to build sustainable practices with, not for, those they serve. They build garden towers, educate on nutrition, help to provide chickens, goats and so many other life-changing opportunities. Their commitment and impact is a consistent topic in meetings for Natura Solve, where our goals align. The programs at 100 Humanitarians allow us to see SoilMix serving its purpose! We’re providing a concentrated natural mix to soil and compost, to boost health and outputs of the gardens and garden towers planted-and its been working so well, we are expanding in 17 countries, currently and have product being used or tested in at least 5 today (some goes places with other groups for similar purposes). Seeds planted, cared for and grown. Metaphorically and literally. The work done by Heidi and Paul is improving lives, providing food security and education that lasts for life. I believe they are also illustrating just how great of an impact we can have through dedicated service. #impact #service #foodsecurity #100Humanitarians
3 years ago, I asked Brian Paul how many times he thought he'd go to Kenya. One and done, was his reply. 🤣 Tomorrow, our team leaves to meet The USANA Chairman's Club in Kenya! Because of the support of The USANA Foundation, over 15,000 garden towers have been built in Kenya during those 3 years. We've seen and experienced miracles. Please keep our team in your prayers as we travel!
