A week ago, we hosted our pioneer Mavin International Men’s Day mixer, themed ‘Mentor-Mentee’. A thoughtfully curated event focused on fostering connections, insights, and growth.   The Mixer featured Power Tables with distinguished leaders from various industries, including music, health, tech, business, and media. One of the key moments was a dedicated session led by the experts, where men shared their experiences, discussed the nuances of their professions, and explored strategies to thrive and excel in their careers.   The first edition of this initiative highlights the importance of networking, mentorship, and collaboration, and we’re proud of its success and the valuable connections it fostered. In support of International Men’s Month, this week’s Brown Bag session focused on Stress Management in Career and Life, led by renowned Healthcare Company, Citron Health The session was interactive, engaging, and deeply practical, featuring real-life scenarios that highlighted the importance of identifying stressors, understanding coping and defense mechanisms, setting priorities, and adopting healthy life practices to manage stress effectively. Stress management is a vital topic; especially in a fast-paced work environment. And in a society where conversations about men’s mental health often take a backseat, this session provided a safe, much-needed platform to discuss these critical issues. During this week’s Brown Bag session, we took a deep dive into Data Protection with one of the largest firms in Sub-Saharan Africa, Olajide Oyewole LLP. The team guided us through key aspects of data management, with a central focus on Nigeria’s Data Protection Regime, inward-facing organizational obligations, and outward-facing organizational obligations. We explored crucial elements of data privacy, compliance, security, and protection, gaining an improved perspective on the data landscape. It was an enlightening and interactive session that broadened our understanding and equipped us with practical insights to strengthen data practices across the organization. We recently embraced the spirit of the 60s with a themed Costume Party that brought vibrant, retro fashion to the office. From colorful shirts and suspenders to tights, flat caps, and even a touch of Nigerian flair with traditional lace fabrics and ‘gele’ head ties, everyone showcased their unique and creative interpretations of 60s-inspired looks. 💃 🕺 The day was even more special as it coincided with our Town Hall Meeting. In his first Town Hall as our President and COO, Tega Oghenejobo, passionately addressed the team, sharing insights on our vision and strategic roadmap for continued growth and success.
