YOU CAN GET INVOLVED IN TECH WITHOUT A SCIENCE BACKGROUND Hey guys, good morning and how’re you all today? We bring you another powerful message from Mrs. Motunrayo Opayinka, the Founder and CEO of Womenovate See what she said at the grand finale of the 2024 Ugwumba Enterprise Challenge in Abuja: “To encourage women to get started in the tech space, we need to demystify all the cultural myths, especially from the foundational stage in schools, where young girls are not encouraged to study STEM courses. The truth is that, if you didn’t even study any of the science courses in school, you can still take up tech roles as a career.” As a professional helping to close the gender gap in STEM, Motunrayo’s message is apt and direct. It is not only targeted at the womenfolk; her message also speaks to policy makers and implementers at all levels and in all the sectors of our economy. And in response to this challenge, we launched the Ugwumba Women Academy Network in 2020 with the aim of equipping #women with the skills and resources they need to become successful #leaders and #entrepreneurs. Today, we have a network of women across the 36 States of #Nigeria plus the FCT with Coordinators at the National and Regional levels. This year, we look forward to doing more for our women across #Africa and we strongly believe that with your support, this goal is achievable. To God be the glory! The world of AI (Artificial Intelligence).I will be sharing things I have learned as I undertake a cloud practitioner course from Amazon Web Services (AWS) by Womenovate One of today's classes is Demystifying the world of AI. Every now and then we get arguments on if AI will take our jobs and increase jobs. I'm not here to argue but to let you know AI was created to mimic human thinking and relationships. It's a code that mimics human behavior. Now, artificial intelligence has 3 other subsets, which are: -Machine learning -Deep Learning - Generative AI These concepts are quite interesting, and we will take them in twos for better understanding. Let's start with Machine Learning vs. Deep Learning Machine learning is a subset of AI that uses machines to search for patterns in data logic models automatically. Machine learning also improves as it feeds on more data, while deep learning is a subset of machine learning that is comprised of deeply multilayered neural networks that perform tasks. What this simply means is that deep learning recognizes speech, images, texts, sounds, and other data patterns, which gives accurate answers or predictions. Artificial Intelligence (AI) vs. Generative AI Artificial intelligence is the ability for computers to behave in a certain kind of way and also perceive, reason, learn, and act in such a way that would require human intelligence, while generative AI, which is a subset of deep learning, creates new content using large language models (LLMs) that are pre-trained. Generative AI can be prompted to create content, ideas, videos, stories, and images from start to finish. If you find this article useful, do well to like and repost. Let's connect. #ArtificialIntelligence #worldofAI #LLM
