To commemorate Human Rights Day, YouthRISE Nigeria partnered with the Nigeria Police Force FCT Command, Gender Desk, to train young community leaders as gender advocates. The training aimed to empower them to identify and report cases of SGBV and human rights violations in their communities. To wrap up the 16 Days of Activism, we call on everyone to take a stand and support the elimination of violence against women. YouthRISE Nigeria is participating in the ongoing Africa Conference for Law Enforcement and Public Health (ALEPH) in Pretoria, South Africa. Representing Nigeria alongside are Commissioner of Police Umar Madaki Farouk, Prof. Lekan Ayo-Yusuf (University of Pretoria), Hannatu Dimas (Deputy Commandant), and Dr. Damian Nzeh (NSCDC). This collaboration highlights efforts to strengthen partnerships between law enforcement and harm reduction program implementation.
