🚧 𝙀𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧: 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙡𝙚𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙗𝙤𝙭 Last week, we received an urgent call from a company in the specialized transport and crane rental sector. One of their cranes was out of service: the slewing mechanism had failed due to a broken output shaft in one of the two gearboxes. Downtime is not an option in this line of work, so we immediately got to work! 🔧 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: 1️⃣ The defective planetary slewing gearbox was delivered and disassembled. 2️⃣ After thorough cleaning and inspection, we replaced the entire output section with a new spline shaft. 3️⃣ The existing pinion was reassembled, the gearbox was filled with oil, and the system was tested. PLANETARY GEARBOXES FOR THE SHELLFISH INDUSTRY: 𝙏𝙞𝙣𝙮 ‘𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙨’ 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙨 💪 We recently supplied six planetary gearboxes of type RE211 for a customer in the shellfish industry. These #gearboxes are used in a winch that has to withstand tough conditions at sea. To meet the demanding requirements of this maritime application, we ensured a durable and reliable solution: - Each gearbox is equipped with a 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲, 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 and 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲 for optimal control and safety. - The units are treated with a 𝟯-𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 after being blasted, giving them excellent resistance to corrosion from salt water and changing weather conditions. - Furthermore, we have used a 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 breather plug, level glasses and nameplate for long-term use in challenging environments. With these finishing touches, the gearboxes are fully prepared to perform their task at sea without any problems for many years. ⚙️𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙥𝙞𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨: 𝘼 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 At Aandrijf Technisch Buro, we have supplied numerous wheeldrives for tensioners used on pipelaying vessels 🚢 in the oil and gas industry. These projects often required customized solutions, particularly due to high gear ratios and specific input demands for electric motors. Additionally, many gearboxes needed certification 📃 from DNV and LR which resulted in the use of steel instead of cast iron for several components. In recent years, the market for pipetensioners has significantly dropped 📉, but we were lucky to supply some spare units. Nowadays, we see a shift from pipe tensioners towards cable tensioners, where the demand is mostly for smaller wheeldrives, especially because smaller capacities are needed here. This transition brings new challenges 💪🏼, but we remain committed to delivering tailored solutions, no matter the size or complexity of the request. 🇵🇱🇦🇳🇪🇹🇦🇷🇾 🇼🇮🇳🇨🇭 🇬🇪🇦🇷🇧🇴🇽 🇼🇮🇹🇭🇴🇺🇹 🇮🇳🇵🇺🇹 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙛 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 🎯 Quite a special delivery was this RW 513 planetary gearbox, the smallest winch drive from DINAMIC OIL SpA. This particular 3-stage gearbox with a maximum torque capacity of 11.800Nm is designed for a winch application and has been supplied 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 an input or motor adapter. What feels like half a solution to us, fits perfectly with what this customer needs 😆.  The customer will be integrating their own special electric motor ⚡ using a custom motor adapter, including a sealing to ensure a perfect fit with the gearbox. This flexibility highlights the adaptability and precision of our solutions for specialized applications. We’re proud to cooperate with new and existing customers to provide customized solutions that meet their specific needs, even if this is half a solution in our eyes 😉.
