Established in 1959, NORTHON Trasmissioni S.r.L. is currently an ITALIAN leader in the industry and is present on the national and international market with a wide range of products (also ATEX certified) identified by the NORTHON trademark: elastic couplings, gear couplings, disc couplings and gear spindle. In addition to standard versions, these are also produced in special versions to meet the customer's needs. The supply comprises couplings in a torque range between 10 and 15,700,000 Nm. Our couplings are used in the almost all industrial branches: iron and steel, energy, ecological, mining, packaging, food, offshore, petrochemical, aviation, air compressors, rubber manufacturing and all industrial systems in general. Our history includes multiple collaborations with several world leaders in steel rolling, in aluminium extrusion, in rubber processing and in the manufacture of gearboxes. All components are designed and produced in our plants. The production is constantly checked complying with the directives of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, ensuring the quality of the coupling. The raw materials used are all certified quality. The couplings are produced in our Villa Carcina plant near Brescia, where we have a large and modern fleet of CNC machinery for working all components, thus ensuring the precision of execution over time. NEXT LEVEL NORTHON COUPLING ⚠️ 7000 rpm 🏎 stiamo parlando di un giunto a lamelle con spaziatore dotato di sensori di coppia. Questo prodotto speciale verrà inserito tra una turbina a vapore ed un compressore a bassa pressione a 7 stadi. Il progetto seguito da un nostro fidelizzato cliente è volto a rivampare un vecchio generatore di energia elettrica situato in America del sud. ______________________ Non sempre le dimensioni contano, in questo caso l’assieme pesa solo 90kg. Le sfide del progetto sono state: - forma costruttiva dello spaziatore ricavato dal pieno (circa 300kg), forgiato, sgrossato, bonificato, tornito, forato e dentato. - le due dentature precise al centesimo perfettamente in asse tra loro - la bilanciatura dinamica G1 a 7000 rpm dei singoli componenti e del giunto assiemato EN We are discussing a flexible disc couplings with a spacer equipped with torque sensors. This special product will be inserted between a steam turbine and a 7-stage low-pressure compressor. The project, led by one of our loyal clients, aims to refurbish an old power generator located in South America. Not always do dimensions matter; in this case, the assembly weighs only 90kg.
