🏜️ New report on internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso has become the epicentre of the displacement crisis in the Sahel region. With the settlement of refugees in host families certain problems arise. 📝 In this report, katia golovko, Laurens W., and Mathijs Cazemier examine the integration of IDPs into host communities, focusing on tensions over resources, social cohesion, and the efforts to resolve these challenges. But the Arctic is home to millions, including Indigenous communities, who face daily challenges from climate shifts, resource extraction, and military expansion. Multilateral institutions such as the Arctic Council are hamstrung by geopolitical tensions, but Indigenous peoples, with their shared cultural ties, can play a role in fostering dialogue and reducing misunderstandings. 🌐 Read our new alert!
