Happy to share that my podcast interview with Eugene Pozniak of the European CME Forum and Siyemi Learning is now live on the Alliance For Continuing Education in the Health Professions website. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/dfkTDd7z Our conversation runs about 32 minutes. Eugene answers questions I relayed to him from executives of several American med-ed companies including Ted Singer of PVI, PeerView Institute for Medical Education; Dean Beals of DKBmed, and Ailene Cantelmi of The France Foundation. We discuss accreditation, content development, commercial support, program development, interprofessional education, regional variations, hot topics, and future trends. Many people made this episode possible. In addition to Eugene for consenting to be interviewed, I am grateful to my fellow PEERS work group members, Sara R. Fagerlie, PhD, CHCP and Chandler Zastrow for their patience and editing skills; PEERS co-leaders Anita Misra-Press, PhD and Bethany Banner, MPH, CHCP for their support; Andrea M Zimmerman, EdD, CHCP for expert consultation on the script; and Smithbucklin employees Morgan Manghera, Lille Gaeta, and Angela Apicella for strong staff technical support. Please give us a listen! 👂

Group Lead, Global Medical Grants & Partnerships at Pfizer Executive Director, Institute of Translational Equitable Medicine (ITEM)
At Pfizer, we aim to make a meaningful difference in communities around the world who struggle to access the medical care that many of us take for granted. However, we know we can’t do it alone – we are so much more powerful if we work with partners who bring specialized skills and local knowledge. That is fundamental to the success of the Global Medical Grants & Partnerships (GMGP) program that I lead at Pfizer. Together, we work to empower and support scientific and healthcare communities to help advance research, strengthen the quality and capacity of healthcare delivery, and accelerate sustainable transformative change. During the recent European CME Forum (ECF17) in Madrid early November, I was particularly moved to finally meet Dr. Rostyslav Marushko in person. GMGP has funded Dr. Marushko’s organization, MedExpert, with two grants to support educational activities for healthcare professionals to improve their competence and professionalism in wartime conditions – in essence, to retrain them. The resulting outcomes helped enable HCPs to provide highly qualified medical care to patients with cardiac diseases combined with comorbidity under extremely suboptimal conditions in Ukraine. Our powerful model of collaboration and capacity building has already benefited millions of patients. Many in parts of the world that may struggle to access the healthcare that most of us take for granted. GMGP is about so much more than making a financial contribution. Its success is based on working with the right partners to identify gaps and find solutions so that together, we can help close the health equity gap. #PfizerProud #HealthEquity #17ECF
