JR Shipping is embracing innovative technologies, such as DEX QM Technology, to make its fleet more efficient and sustainable. Following previous successful implementations on SeaZip Offshore Service's fleet - a range of CTVs providing services to the offshore industry - DEX QM technology is now being tested on the MV Energizer's main engine. Whereas the focus on SeaZip Offshore Service was on oil changeover time extension thanks to DEX QM technology, the MV Energizer is all about demonstrating impact with respect to fuel savings, CO2 reduction and improving the vessel's CII rating. The trial period on the MV Energizer will last six months, and we have high expectations. Lower fuel consumption not only means lower CO2 emissions, but also an improved CII (Carbon Intensity Indicator) rating, a crucial factor in meeting the new emission standards.
