Proud to finally announce a new initiative at Deviant Legal: I will organize free legal consultations for marginalized identities in games, esports & content creation every week! In the current difficult state of the industry, we hold on to the mantra “survive until ‘25”. In these times of uncertainty, with funding being more difficult to obtain and respectable studios being shut down, I simply do not want to stand on the sidelines and watch. The reason why I prioritize marginalized identities with this initiative, is that people of these identities even have a harder time to access resources, including legal knowledge. It is already hard enough for them to survive in regular circumstances, let alone the circumstances the video games industry are currently facing. Normally I am not the person requesting for engagement, but any and all visibility is greatly appreciated.
