𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Yesterday, Richard Bruins, CEO of Ferr-Tech, had the incredible honor of attending the Outstander's Lunch with His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague, on behalf of the entire Ferr-Tech team. This special event celebrates Dutch individuals who have excelled through noteworthy achievements. It is an opportunity for the royal couple to show their appreciation for those who have made a meaningful impact in their specific field. Ferr-Tech’s invitation came as a result of being recognized as the 2023 winner of the KVK Innovatie Top 100. Richard described the experience as both an honour and a humbling moment: "I felt a healthy sense of excitement, like before a big game. It's something I'll never forget". He was also struck by how accessible the King and Queen were, noting how natural and genuine their interactions felt. It was a really memorable moment. While Richard represented Ferr-Tech at this special occasion, he was proud to do so on behalf of the entire team. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿-𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗩𝗞 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟬𝟬 On Saturday, we had the pleasure of attending the KVK Innovatie Top 100 event at Ahoy Rotterdam, where this year’s top innovators were celebrated. A huge congratulations to Concord Neonatal, the overall winner! With their Concord Birth Flow, they’re establishing a new standard in neonatal care—a truly impactful achievement. Our very own Judith le Fèvre had the honor of opening the event on stage, sharing insights on the challenges and opportunities involved in scaling a business. With a large number of emerging entrepreneurs in the room, thanks to the earlier KVK start-up event, there was no shortage of inspiration for growth and innovation. Following the plenary, Judith and Ludo led a dedicated networking table, engaging entrepreneurs who signed up to discuss topics like sustainable HR practices and attracting talent. It’s been an incredible year carrying the title of the most innovative company in the Netherlands. We’re excited to keep supporting the Dutch innovation community with what we’ve learned along the way.

𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗦𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 This past Tuesday, during FrieslandCampina's Sustainability Days, employees and dairy farmers gathered to discuss the latest in environmental initiatives. As part of these demonstrations, our large scale pilot with FerSol® was showcased, providing a real-time look at its impact on wastewater processing within their facilities. This pilot, running at both a cheese factory and milk powder plant, highlights FerSol®'s capacity to treat wastewater directly at the source. By reducing sludge production by an impressive 60-80% and achieving exceptionally low COD levels, FerSol® not only minimizes waste but also improves water quality. These advancements are leading to significant cost savings, especially in sludge handling and chemical usage. Moreover, maintaining water at a temperature that allows for potential reuse is an exciting opportunity for further energy savings. We’re proud to collaborate on this innovative project with Friesland Campina and thank them for demonstrating this initiative. This development is a crucial step in supporting our growth and enhancing our storage capacity, enabling us to handle FerSol more efficiently. Ronald Ijzer, Managing Director at Vivochem, stated, “The approval of this cold storage facility is an important step for us in improving our operations. It will help us ensure that FerSol is stored under optimal conditions, allowing us to maintain the highest quality for our customers.” This new facility will not only streamline our processes but also strengthen our ability to meet increasing customer demands. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 Judith le Fèvre of Ferr-Tech had the honour of being a member of the jury for the Duurzame Dertig, a competition showcasing the best sustainable innovations in Drenthe, Friesland and Groningen. With Ferr-Tech's strong focus on sustainability, Judith was the ideal choice to help identify this year's most effective sustainable solutions. The winners were announced yesterday and we are delighted to congratulate them! Judith had the pleasure of presenting the start-up award. She was pleased to have handed it over to BOXO I Herbruikbare verzendverpakkingen for their eco-friendly packaging made from durable recycled plastic, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional cardboard. In the People & Society category, Kleer'nZooi XXL was recognised for making sustainable fashion more fun, stylish and accessible to everyone in Groningen. The Innovation Award went to Bork Groep Tussenstation for its pioneering approach to deconstruction, which allows materials from demolished buildings to be reused or restored for future projects. The Audience Choice Award went to Caparis in Leeuwarden, the first social enterprise to recycle solar panels. 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 This morning, as part of the Sustainable Action Week in Meppel, we had the pleasure of welcoming secondary school students to Ferr-Tech for an exciting and hands-on excursion. During the visit, the students learned about how we clean wastewater in a green and sustainable way using FerSol in our lab. After a presentation and introduction to Ferr-Tech, we took the students on a tour of our facilities, showcasing how sustainability is at the heart of our work. Reflecting on the importance of sustainability, our CTO, Sina, shared: "As an engineer, I feel a strong responsibility for the future sustainability of our world. I believe that engineers should have a code of ethics that guides them to design and implement solutions that are not only innovative and effective, but also ethical and eco-friendly." The Sustainable Action Week is a fantastic initiative that gets young people involved in exploring sustainability, nature, and technology, and we’re proud to have been part of it. We hope the students left inspired and with a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable practices!

𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗿-𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We’re excited to share that Ferr-Tech has recently installed 140 solar panels, along with 4 charging stations and 2 charging poles at our office. This initiative allows us to generate our own energy, demonstrating our commitment to sustainability. While FerSol®️ remains our key green innovation, we’re also taking steps within our own operations to lower CO2 emissions and boost sustainability. With these solar panels, we can now generate our own energy, further reducing our carbon footprint. Richard Bruins, our CEO, puts it best: “Sustainability is part of our DNA. These upgrades help us reduce our own carbon footprint, showing our commitment to not just creating greener solutions, but living by them too.” We believe in walking the talk. Acting on sustainability is just as important as promoting it. Together, we’re taking meaningful steps towards a greener future!
