Insuring your drone flown by an external operator. ✈️ In most cases the owner of the #Drone is also the entity who needs to insure for flying and have it covered for Liability (compulsory) and Hull (optional) but this is not always the case. In some cases a company owns a drone but it is flown by an external licensed drone operator. In that case an extra insurance needs to be arranged. To prevent financial damage due to a liability claim or damage to the drone itself. The reason why external operators fly non owned drones could be that there is a business partnership between the company and the drone operator. It could also be the case that the operator just "hires" the drone for a seperate project. External drone operators are sometimes hired by the drone operator on a freelance basis, based on the fact that they have more experience or are allowed to fly in other category (f.e. specific) Why are drones flown by operators that are not owners? ✴️ The owner of the drone lacks experience or a permit to fly. The external party does have a permit to fly in for the required category. ✴️The external operator has an hire agreement for the drone and the company is not involved in the operation, just charges a fee for the hire. ✴️ The owner of the drone doesn't possess a license to operate the drone at all (yet). ✴️The owner has more projects lined up and needs to hire an external party to execute a project at another location with their drone. Fatbike, electrische fietsen en aansprakelijkheid 🚲 Het team van Flight Deck Insurance sluit naast Luchtvaart Verzekeringen ook veel niet-luchtvaart schade verzekeringen af. ✈️ 🚙 Ons team wordt het gehele jaar bijgespijkerd met wijzigingen en nieuws omtrent ALLE (schade)verzekeringen. De Fatbike was een belangrijk thema in 2024. De fatbike is een vaak gezien straatbeeld en zeer populair bij kinderen onder de 16 jaar. Helaas zijn er veel ongelukken waar een bestuurder van een fatbike bij betrokken is. Hoe kan dit? 🚲 Er is geen minimumleeftijd, dus rijden ook kinderen onder de 16 jaar op een fatbike. 🚲 Jonge kinderen kunnen de risico’s in het verkeer niet goed inschatten. 🚲 Andere weggebruikers kunnen de snelheid van een fatbike soms niet goed inschatten. 🚲 De fatbike heeft geen goede zitpositie, waardoor het besturen moeilijk is. 🚲 Als er meerdere personen op een fatbike zitten, is besturen moeilijker. 🚲 Er zijn goedkope fatbikes met een slechte kwaliteit op de markt. Voor een fatbike gelden dezelfde regels als voor een "gewone" elektrische fiets. ✴️ Een elektrische fiets mag niet harder dan 25 kilometer per uur. ✴️ Een elektrische fiets wordt niet gezien als motorrijtuig. ✴️ De bestuurder mag zonder rijbewijs op een elektrische fiets rijden. ✴️ Er geldt geen minimumleeftijd om op een elektrische fiets te rijden. ✴️ Er is geen helmplicht. ✴️ Er is geen verzekeringsplicht. ✴️ Een fatbike kan worden opgevoerd, waardoor deze harder kan rijden dan 25 kilometer per uur. Hoe zit het aansprakelijkheid? De leeftijd van de bestuurder is belangrijk voor de aansprakelijkheid: ✴️ Is een kind 13 jaar of jonger? Dan zijn de ouders risicoaansprakelijk. ✴️Is een kind 14 of 15 jaar? Dan zijn de ouders risicoaansprakelijk, tenzij ze kunnen aantonen dat ze de schade niet konden voorkomen. ✴️ Is een kind 16 jaar of ouder? Dan is het kind zelf aansprakelijk. Een AVP (aansprakelijkheids verzekering particulieren of WA) dekt vaak de schade, maar meestal niet bij een opgevoerde fatbike. Is er geen AVP afgesloten of wordt de schade niet gedekt door de verzekeraar? Dan komen de kosten voor rekening van de ouders. de Vereende voert de werkzaamheden en het management uit voor het Waarborgfonds en het Nederlands Bureau. (Voor mensen die door een verkeersongeluk schade hebben geleden en niet terecht kunnen bij hun verzekeraar. ) Zij waarschuwen voor de gevaren van het rijden op een fatbike door kinderen onder de 16 jaar en hebben het volgende advies: ✅ Laat geen kinderen onder de 16 jaar op een fatbike rijden. ✅ Zorg ervoor dat de fatbike niet is opgevoerd en dus niet harder kan dan 25 kilometer per uur. ✅ Sluit een particuliere aansprakelijkheid verzekering af. Gelukkig Nieuwjaar! We kijken terug naar een fantastisch 2024, waarin we wederom onze luchtvaart klantengroep (en omzet) fors hebben kunnen uitbreiden. Voor 2025 staan er weer geweldige nieuwe opdrachten klaar. Ook twee mooie nieuwe sponsorschappen, van grote nationale evenementen, hierover binnenkort meer. Ondanks dat het team van Flight Deck Insurance altijd probeert om voor klanten de beste verzekerings oplossingen te vinden, komt het helaas voor dat verzekeraars toch niet dat kunnen leveren wat wij eigenlijk nodig hebben. Daarnaast is het aanbod door luchtvaart verzekeraars (in relatie tot niet luchtvaart verzekeraars) erg beperkt. We blijven daarom "out of the box" denken en zoeken naar betere verzekerings mogelijkheden voor onze relaties. Daar maken wij het verschil en daar ligt onze kracht. Veel #drone klanten konden in 2024 worden geholpen aan zeer specialistische luchtvaart dekkingen. Voor wat betreft onze consultancy dienstverlening; wij zijn erg trots dat we met onze marketing ondersteuning de AviAssist Foundation in 2024 een nog professionelere uitstraling hebben kunnen brengen. Mede dankzij een fantastisch team in o.a. Rwanda en Nigeria waar wij mee samen werken. Meer opdrachten liggen in het verschiet. Segelflugzeugbau), taking along my daughter Anna above Terlet Airfield (EHTL). ❤️ Flying with team ZVC I Arcus M (Schempp-Hirth Flugzeugbau GmbH ) during the Euroglide 2024 Race in June/July. Team picture with life-time gliding friends Marc Hardenberg, Jan Brouwer and John Koch is taken at Stendal-Borstel Airport (EDOV) in Germany. ❤️ Formation flight with our tow plain (Zweefvliegclub Teuge) at NV Luchthaven Teuge.
