🌱 Kapok vs. Synthetic Fibers: The Ultimate Showdown! 💥 Flocus Kapok is rewriting the rules of sustainable fashion. How does it stack up against synthetic fibers like polyester? Let’s dive deeper: 🔹 Environmental Footprint: Unlike synthetics, which are derived from petrochemicals, kapok is a renewable resource that thrives without pesticides, irrigation, or synthetic fertilizers. Each kapok tree sequesters up to 20 times more carbon than an average tree, actively contributing to carbon capture. In contrast, producing 1 kg of polyester emits nearly 3 times the CO2 of kapok and releases microplastics into the environment with every wash, polluting oceans and waterways. 🔹 Biodegradability: Kapok is naturally biodegradable. When disposed of, it decomposes without leaving harmful residues.
