Using our advanced Rapid Airborne Multibeam Mapping System (RAMMS), we delivered accurate, high-resolution underwater mapping, whilst #ALTOA used the latest airborne lidar and imagery sensors to gather exceptional topographic and imagery data. How did we overcome the complex geology and marine conditions of the Bristol Channel? 💪 We successfully built 6 large-diameter shafts for EDF (UK)’s cooling system in the Bristol Channel to ensure a reliable seawater supply for nuclear reactors. Using only seawater as a drilling fluid, we safely discharged drill cuttings back to the seabed, protecting marine life and water quality. 🌊 Our T90 reverse circulation drilling rig and variable-diameter bottom hole assembly guaranteed safe and accurate installation, reducing project duration and minimising environmental impact. 🌍 Want to know more? Two years ago, the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria claimed tens of thousands of lives and caused immense destruction. As we remember this tragedy, we also recognise the resilience of the affected communities and their ongoing rebuilding efforts. We are proud to have played a role in this process by conducting crucial field studies and providing lidar data to Türkiye’s government that covered over 1800 km2. This data is now being used by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) to plan reconstruction projects and mitigate future risks. We’ll also share uninterpreted lidar data with the broader scientific community through the Fugro and AFAD portals. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all those affected and remain committed to doing what's right as we prepare for tomorrow.
