🚶 📍A flashback to the visit to the #Utrecht reuse center at the Future Green City World Congress ! Last September saw the holding of the Future Green Cities World Congress, during which over 3,000 experts from all over the world gathered in Utrecht over four days to share and gather knowledge on the #circulareconomy. Among the events organized as part of the conference was a tour (Urban Trail) of the Utrecht municipal reuse center, one of #PREUSE's pilot sites. The tour began with an inspiring visit to the Het Hof van Cartesius. This is a circular hub, where a municipal recycling center will be developed in the coming months. 👷 Noortje Voulon, John de Zwart and Mirjam Scholtens from the Gemeente Utrecht gave a tour of the municipal reuse center. 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙬 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙩 🚧 The municipality of Utrecht has been the official owner of a plot of land to develop a municipal #reusecenter. The reuse center is intended to become a circular center for materials released during construction work in #publicspaces and suitable for reuse. For example, #pavers and #playground equipment are temporarily stored and prepared for reuse. If necessary, materials are repaired, cleaned and palletized for later reuse in other public works. The development of the reuse center is an important step towards becoming a fully circular city by 2050! Thanks to all participants!
