Research on innovative transmission and signal processing techniques to enable secure ultra-high capacity transmission
Over ons
The High Capacity Optical Transmission laboratory led by Dr Chigo Okonkwo, is a group of 20 researchers focused on exploiting digital signal processing to approach the capacity of various optical channels of interest e.g. single-, multi-mode, few mode multi-core, free space and at various regimes As such, the laboratory carries out consortium and bilateral research collaboration with academia and industry on three main pillars; Optical fibers, Free Space optical communications and Continuous variable quantum key distribution. We also have growing research on Quantum and Classical fiber sensors exploiting post processed fibers Contact us to discuss!
