300 Designs, One Final Bow: A Quick Chat with Eefje from Art Direction After designing over 300 different bows, the new symbol of Hunkemöller’s rebranding is finally here. We spoke to Eefje G. from our Art Direction team, to hear about the journey behind choosing the perfect design. 🎀 Why update the bow? "With our rebranding, it was essential to refresh every detail, and that included our iconic bow. We wanted a new design that felt modern and relevant, yet still stayed true to our brand's identity and essence." 🎀 What did the team focus on when selecting the final design? "We were looking for a design that was fresh, relatable, and modern. The previous bow had a more traditional feel, so we needed something that would appeal to a wide audience while still reflecting the direction we're heading. We wanted it to feel both timeless and current." 🎀 If you had to describe the new bow in three words, what would they be? "Authentic, fresh, and modern." 🎀 How did the design process unfold? "It was a true team effort. Our entire Creative team — pepe villaverde, Susanne Schmid, Michelle Kimm, Sammie Deckers, and I — worked through over 300 designs before narrowing it down to the final choice. It was a collaborative process, and the dedication and creativity from everyone made it incredibly rewarding when we found the right design." An Inspiring Visit from the Hunkemöller Board to Our German Teams This week, we had the pleasure of hosting the members of the Hunkemöller Board at our German HQ in Gelsenkirchen🏢. During their visit, they held their board meeting onsite and took the opportunity to visit several of our stores, including Ochtrup, Oberhausen, and two locations in Düsseldorf. A highlight of their visit was a wonderful lunch with the entire HQ Team Germany at our headquarters. Our CEO Brian Grevy even impressed everyone by giving his speech in German👏.
