Depending on the source of the water, different filters can be used to guarantee your incoming water is optimal for growing fish🐠. ⁣ ⁣ These may vary from solids filtration, heavy metal removal, gas balancing, or microbial control🦠. ⁣ ⁣ Below you can check our latest installation. Designed for solids filtration and UV disinfection, it is also combined with a buffer tank that stores the treated water for on-demand use in the #RAS.⁣ ⁣ Here's the process explained: ⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ We installed sensors on the buffer tank that signal to intake pump to bring seawater in, when needed. ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ The system is installed in an area with tidal variation, so pump speed and pressure are electronically controlled to account for differences in suction elevation. ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ The UV has a UV-C sensor to guarantee the desired disinfection dose and is regulated by a flow-switch to turn on/off when needed, protecting the lamp. ⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ On the RAS side, a top-up pump fills the RAS from the buffer tank based on water use (level sensor) or by constant renewal.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄! 🚀 What is FAT Testing and Why Does It Matter? ⚙️✅   Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is a crucial step in ensuring that equipment and systems meet all design and operational requirements before they leave for the client's location. Think of it as a final checkup to catch any issues early—saving time, money, and headaches down the road!   During a FAT test, we at Landing Aquaculture BV go over the equipment list, making sure everything is well installed and powered correctly. All water reservoirs are also filled with water to check for leaks 💧 💧 💧 ✔ Ensures compliance with specifications & standards ✔ Detects and resolves defects before installation ✔ Reduces risks during commissioning ✔ Increases confidence in system performance   Yet sometimes we get some special projects, like building a high tech recirculating seaweed nursery inside a container! 🌊🎉 Exciting news from Norway! 🎉🌊   We’re thrilled to announce the successful finalization of our Landing PILOT system, after a productive second visit to ensure everything is running smoothly. After fine-tuning all the details and providing training to the fantastic team on-site, we're officially ready to roll!   One of the most flexible designs Landing Aquaculture BV has ever made, this system can be used with fresh and saltwater, in both #RAS and #FlowThrough mode. The tanks can be used at full volume or half water volume, and the outlet pipe design allows the production of flatfish species like halibut! Complete with a seawater intake and disinfection system and an end-of-pipe treatment concept, this system is ready to serve as a state-of-the-art training facility, designed to coach the next generation of fish farmers. 🌱🐟   A massive shoutout to the team for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm.
