MicroAlign fiber arrays enabling very high coupling efficiency   The production process for our first ultra high accuracy fiber arrays with 100nm pitch accuracy is about ready (12 channels, SMF28, 250um pitch to start with). Very soon the first arrays will become available in small portions after which we will ramp up production and will increase the number of channels, fiber types and add 127um pitch. For the high end markets where losing a few photons has high impact on performance (sensitivity, bandwidth, computing efficiency) these arrays enable a big step forward. MicroAlign's contribution to the national NXTGEN Inlite project. We are an official partner in the NXTGEN Inlite project NxtGen Datacenter & Cloud Technologies, a national project to strengthen the Dutch integrated photonic supply chain from front-end to back-end, applications to markets. The project will extend over ten years and have a budget of 10 million euros. MicroAlign is proud to be a partner providing high-end fiber arrays that ensure consistent low coupling loss and high product-to-product performance. Our work will play an important role in quantum and distributed sensing demonstrators within the project, among others.
