"Innovatie vereist niet alleen kapitaal, maar ook een consistent beleid en de ruimte om te ondernemen", zegt Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi, CEO van TNO, tijdens de Nearfield’s Innovation Ecosystem Day 2025. “Industriële en economische vernieuwing ontstaan vaak door start- en scaleups. Ondernemingen zoals Nearfield Instruments opereren in dynamische en competitieve internationale markten. Ze moeten een plaats veroveren, terwijl ze tegelijkertijd de productielijnen en logistiek op orde proberen te krijgen. Vaak in concurrentie met grote gevestigde bedrijven. Hun producten, diensten en methoden zijn regelmatig onorthodox en passen niet in bestaande categorieën. Excessieve, rigide en complexe regelgeving, maar ook trage bureaucratische procedures zijn desastreus. De overheid kan innovatie en industriële vernieuwing stimuleren door de eigen regels te versimpelen, onnodige regels te schrappen en procedures radicaal te versnellen. Maatwerk, snelheid en zeker ook consistentie is voor ons cruciaal.
