🍃 #meetBIOMATTERS 🍃 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 Waste2BioComp: our Horizon Europe Twin Project in the BIO-MATTERS Cluster 🌱 In recent weeks, the BIO-MATTERS cluster has been spotlighting the projects united under the Horizon Europe call “Manufacturing technologies for bio-based materials.” Today, we have the honor of presenting the Waste2BioComp project. 🚀 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝟮𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽? Waste2BioComp aims to revolutionize the valorization of agricultural and forestry residues by converting them into high-performance bio-based composites, reducing reliance on fossil-based materials and fostering a circular bioeconomy. 🎯 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: - Develop sustainable, scalable manufacturing processes for bio-based composites. - Demonstrate the feasibility of innovative end-products in various applications. - Enhance the use of agricultural and forestry waste streams, ensuring environmental and economic impact. 🤝 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝟮𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗜𝗢-𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿: As part of the BIO-MATTERS initiative, Waste2BioComp supports collaboration among bio-based materials manufacturing projects. Its findings and developments aim to enhance shared knowledge and encourage sustainable transformation across industries. The second project is Horizon EU Green-Loop 🌍 #Green-Loop is an ambitious EU-funded project to revolutionize the circular economy in Europe! 🎉 🔄 Objective: reduce waste, cut CO2 emissions and promote sustainable practices on a large scale. 🌱 Through close collaboration between researchers, industrialists and decision-makers, Green-Loop's mission is to stimulate a future where materials continuously circulate and recycle.
