Tender ‘Maud’ is opgeleverd 💪 de vierde tender uit de nieuwe M-klasse. Met deze tenders zet het Loodswezen een stap voorwaarts op het gebied van verduurzaming. Niet alleen met de schepen zelf, maar ook tijdens het bouwproces. Onder het toeziend oog van een twintigtal pontschippers, werd onlangs bij Next Generation Shipyards de kiel gelegd voor een voet- en veer pont. De pont wordt gebouwd in opdracht van de gemeente Smallingerland en gaat zelfstandig varen. De oplevering is in het voorjaar 2025. In het kader van het autonoom varen wordt nauw samen gewerkt met Ferry to Connect B.V.

Werkbezoek NG Shipyards Lauwersoog Afgelopen donderdag mochten we op bezoek komen bij schepenbouwer Next Generation Shipyards. We kregen een presentatie en rondleiding door dit snelgroeiende familiebedrijf. Een uniek kijkje achter de schermen waar schepen van tekening tot eindproduct worden gebouwd. #scheepswerf #lauwersoog

Last week, the Port of Milford Haven celebrated the Keel Laying Ceremony of its new 22m pilot transfer vessel, which is being constructed by Next Generation Shipyards. Designed by Camarc Design and supported by BMT, the new vessel will provide advanced safety features, enhanced seakeeping capabilities and state of art technology to optimise our performance in challenging conditions. A proud moment for the Port team!
