Nicemakers proudly presents: The Brecon Located in the upper building of Adelboden’s historic Hotel Huldi, The Brecon stands as a testament to timeless elegance and discreet luxury. Originally built in 1914 and once known as the Waldhaus, this venue was a bustling hub of glamour and socialite gatherings throughout the 1950s, '60s and ‘70s. The renovation of The Brecon draws inspiration from its rich mid-century heritage, infusing the hotel’s 18 rooms and four suites with the distinctive aesthetic of the sixties and seventies. Guests will find themselves immersed in an atmosphere of understated sophistication, marked by a subdued earthy palette and natural, comforting textures mixed with brutalist details. Each room offers breathtaking views of the majestic Adelboden Massif, creating a harmonious blend of interior warmth and exterior grandeur. Our aim was to craft a sanctuary for those seeking privacy and tranquility, emphasizing the comforts of home intertwined with the finest elements of traditional Swiss hospitality. Each room and suite is elegantly and pragmatically furnished with a curated mix of contemporary and vintage pieces, art from Amsterdam’s Bisou gallery, and was styled with a selection of collected objects from all Europe. Natural fabrics, including wool, linen, and cotton, contribute to the sense of luxuriously comfortable rooms that complement the stunning mountain vistas visible from every window. Bekende projecten zijn natuurlijk het complete redesign van het iconische Hôtel de l'Europe en de twee The Hoxton Hotels in Amsterdam. Nicemakers proudly presents: de willem, situated on the Haarlemmerplein consists of two new hospitality concepts, the Café and the Restaurant. Nicemakers was responsible for both of the renovations and the addition of a wine cellar. The building itself speaks a great volume of history, which was the main inspiration behind the design concept, combing the neoclassical style with a modern touch. The Café, taking on elements of the classic French brasserie style creates the feeling of a cozy and relaxed dining situation. Enjoying in an intimate setting where vintage stools are combined with warm fabrics and marble flooring. The restaurants hold a more high-end style, incorporating rich materials and fabrics with new bespoke pieces and extravagant lightning. A bespoke bench was made to make the perfect fit in the lay-out of the building, achieving the perfect combination of upholding the history of the building while creating a new modern touch.
