Launched by cupstack and already supported by Dutch Cups B.V., MEIKO Group, HOBART GmbH, PackBack Circulware and SwapBox as affiliates, Hergebruik Nu is ready to transform the way the Netherlands thinks about reusable packaging. This new platform will drive advocacy efforts and collaboration across the Netherlands for reuse businesses. 🇳🇱As of January 1, 2024, the Netherlands has banned disposable cups in offices, festivals, and on-site catering under the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive. Yet, with shifting political priorities leaving this policy unenforceable, the need for action is greater than ever. Hergebruik Nu will address these types of challenges, providing a unified voice to promote reuse and influence national sustainability policies. 🌱 Zwerfafval opruimen en sociale impact maken 🌱 Wat een inspirerend initiatief van Robert Jager en zijn project Clean Up Rotterdam! Door samen met mensen met een afstand tot de arbeidsmarkt zwerfafval op te ruimen, draagt hij niet alleen bij aan een schonere stad, maar helpt hij ook bruggen te bouwen in de samenleving. 💪 Bij PackBack geloven we net als Robert in het combineren van duurzaamheid en sociale impact. Terwijl Clean Up Rotterdam zwerfafval aanpakt, richten wij ons op herbruikbare oplossingen om afval vanaf de bron te verminderen. Samen maken we een verschil! 🌍💚

🌍 Op het ImpactFest hebben we gesproken over de volgende stappen in het realiseren van een universeel hergebruik-systeem voor een afvalvrije toekomst. De sleutel tot succes? Verbinding en samenwerking opzoeken! Samenwerking tussen overheid, bedrijven en inwoners is essentieel om impact te maken. We geloven in klein beginnen en opschalen: starten met pilots op lokaal niveau, zoals we eerder hebben gedaan in Rotterdam, om vervolgens uit te breiden. #COP29 starts on 11 November! ⏰   With climate impacts getting worse in every country, every COP is a crucial moment to confront the global climate crisis. COP29 must turn pledges into concrete actions to protect lives and livelihoods, and ensure the vast benefits of bolder climate actions are shared much more widely.   Each year, the COP climate conference is hosted by a different country, rotating between world regions.   With COP29 hosted in Baku, we spoke with COP29 Azerbaijan President Designate Mukhtar Babayev about why it’s so important for the global community to tackle climate change together.

𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐣𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐯𝐚𝐬𝐭 - de resultaten van onze Statiegeldbeker-pilot zijn binnen! Ja, je leest het goed! Met trots kunnen we de resultaten van de statiegeldbeker-pilot delen!   Wat is de statiegeldbeker-pilot, vraag je? In maart dit jaar startte Mission Reuse, samen met Nederlandse Spoorwegen, Verpact, PackBack, Gemeente Rotterdam, Provincie Zuid-Holland en de Transitieagenda Consumptiegoederen en tientallen horeca-partners in en rondom Rotterdam Centraal Station, aan een experiment met een collectief systeem voor herbruikbare bekers. Gedurende drie maanden circuleerden duizenden statiegeldbekers door de stad en leerden we wat er nodig is om zo'n gezamenlijk systeem succesvol te laten werken in drukke (semi-)openbare ruimtes.   De belangrijkste inzichten? 🔑 Een universele retourinfrastructuur is niet alleen technisch haalbaar, maar ook operationeel werkbaar. 🔑 De adoptie van hergebruik schiet omhoog wanneer het de ‘default’ keuze wordt. 🔑 Uniformiteit onder horeca-aanbieders is cruciaal in het overtuigen van consumenten.   Meer weten over het project?
