Women in AI Benelux is working to change that - by celebrating the work and innovation of women and minorities in AI. We at Prosus Group were proud to sponsor and present the AI Sustainability Leader and Responsible AI Leader awards - recognising the change-makers who are driving inclusion in AI while building solutions that make a real difference. Today Prosus is pleased to announce that we have reached a conditional agreement to acquire Just Eat Takeaway.com for €4.1bn, creating a European food delivery champion, and the fourth-largest food delivery group globally. This month, we’ve tested DeepSeek AI in real-world scenarios. First, DeepSeek R1 was integrated into Toqan, our Prosus AI Assistant, to evaluate its reasoning against more than 20 LLMs in the system. Toqan’s proprietary model directs queries to the most suitable LLM, ensuring both quality and cost-efficiency. As DeepSeek is open source, it is assessed under strict privacy and security standards applied to all Toqan models. We also benchmarked DeepSeek for key Prosus use cases using proprietary tests that models cannot train against. Results are shared on our ProLLM Leaderboards, (see link in comments below) covering benchmarks like coding, Q&A, summarization, and SQL disambiguation. OpenAI models (4o, o1, o1mini) dominate eight of the nine tests, but DeepSeek consistently ranks in the top 10 and often as the top open-source model. Notably, it outperformed all in open-book tasks, answering document-based questions with unmatched accuracy. For ecommerce applications, such as ranking recommended products, DeepSeek R1 exhibits impressive capabilities to align user preferences with product features. While optimal fine-tuning requires more time, it offers valuable insights to enhance user experience. #ArtificialIntelligence #AITesting #LLM
