SingularityNET was founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel with the mission of creating a decentralized, democratic, inclusive, and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). An AGI is not dependent on any central entity, is open to anyone, and is not restricted to the narrow goals of a single corporation or even a single country. The SingularityNET team includes seasoned engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. Our core platform and AI teams are further complemented by specialized teams devoted to application areas such as finance, robotics, biomedical AI, media, arts, and entertainment. SingularityNET is a founding member of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, the largest open-source, independent player in AI research and development.

Our Modular Supercomputer is purpose-built to optimize the training of DNNs, LLMs and multimodal LLMs, and hybrid neural-symbolic architectures such as OpenCog Hyperon, tailored for scaling up dynamic AI workloads and AGI applications. Some of the recent hardware purchases include advanced GPU compute systems, such as a Modular Data Center equipped with Nvidia L40S GPUs, AMD Instinct and Genoa, Tenstorrent Wormhole server racks, and servers featuring H200 GPUs, as well as Nvidia GB200 (Nvidia Blackwell) systems. Updates about the project's developments will be shared as we progress through our established milestones.

OpenCog Hyperon is an open-source neural-symbolic framework for human-level Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and, shortly after, Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). Hyperon's architecture enables different AI approaches including evolutionary learning systems, various types of inference and logic, machine learning, and neural networks to collaborate through a shared knowledge store. The framework is built around two key components: the Distributed Atomspace (DAS), a hypergraph used by Hyperon to represent and store knowledge, and MeTTa, a novel programming language capable of writing introspective and self-modifying programs, which can be crucial for AGI recursive self-improvement. The MeTTa AGI language supports self-modifying code, allowing Hyperon to adapt and evolve its behavior naturally by modifying its programs at runtime. This capability is crucial for building AI systems that can learn and improve over time and has implications for the emergence of complex, self-organizing dynamics within the system. MeTTa's combination of functional, logical and probabilistic programming aspects, coupled with the metagraph representation, means that code modification is a well-defined process, enabling precise and predictable updates to the system's knowledge and procedures.
