Last week, we successfully dedicated two days to bringing together the WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH and Stahl Packaging Coatings EMEA sales teams. We were setting the stage for a fruitful collaboration by leveraging our combined expertise. Several speakers, including Raymond Bakker, Guglielmo Capuano, Magnus Berheide and Gerrit Oudendijk gave presentations to the Weilburger Graphics business teams to introduce the Stahl Packaging Coatings Division. The team-building trip to Nuremberg was enjoyable for everyone. It offered a chance to connect with our new colleagues on a personal level, while discovering the city's hidden treasures. PHAs - Polymers produced in nature! Alongside recycling and reusing plastic products wherever possible, we should reconsider how we produce plastic materials in the first place. This includes replacing non-renewable, fossil-carbon-based feedstocks in manufacturing with bio-based alternatives, known as bioplastics. A high-potential fossil-free solution is polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs): polymers produced in nature as a result of bacterial fermentation.
