𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭.𝟲°𝗖 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 The news shared globally today is alarming, but comes as no surprise: 2024 is officially the hottest year on record, surpassing the critical 1.5°C Paris agreement. This reality underscores the urgent need for decisive action across all sectors to 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. One often-overlooked contributor to this crisis is the common practice of mixing food waste with other waste streams and sending it to landfills. This generates significant greenhouse gas emissions, exacerbating the climate crisis and a business Scope 3 CO2 emissions. As a employee working at a company that is committed to the Paris Agreement, it is even more time now to prioritise decarbonising food waste management. Businesses in the UAE grapple with logistical and technological barriers to 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
