Today, our online campaign for the Rijksmuseum Collection Online went live. A special project that brought back some memories. Twelve years ago, during my studies at Artemis Academie, one of our assignments was to create an activation to launch the Rijksstudio, as the website was called back then. We created a zine. I recently dug up the teachers' evaluation, and to be completely honest... it wasn’t great. It was oke-ish. Definitely not my best work. All the more fun to do it again, this time together with the amazing Fons de Haan, Soundsright, and denise aznam. Check out the making off of ‘Let nature live’ for Natuurmonumenten. We took a unique approach to producing the TV commercial: showing ‘the bigger picture’ of Dutch nature in a small, detailed and more tangible way. 🌳 To stand out in the ‘green sea’ of nature visuals and campaigns, we crafted a world filled with Dutch nature in a three-dimensional miniature model. Together with production house Artillerie, director Patrick Louwerse and a team of experts in stop motion and puppet making we created a diorama, enhanced by the latest digital techniques and motion graphics, that served as a set for the narrative of presenter Maurice Lede. “To create this campaign, we were very inspired by how nature creates and grows it’s organisms: with attention to detail” - Amber Steevensz & Esmé Brinkman, Creative Directors at ACE.
