⚡ We're thrilled to announce the start of stakeholder meetings under the WEnnovate project! Yesterday, in partnership with Unify.energy and Provincie Utrecht, we presented the preliminary findings of our research on the innovation ecosystem of deep tech and digital innovations in the energy transition in the Netherlands. It was truly valuable to gather different perspectives from stakeholders across the quadruple helix. During the event, experts highlighted the significance of not only technological advancements but also social and organizational innovations. New energy system will require a behavioral change; and to achieve it, trust-building is essential. According to our research, the energy sectors in the EU countries are facing similar challenges. In the discussions, the stakeholders highlighted the need for common data space and standards on the European level, keeping the focus on the bottom-up and decentralised approaches. The discussion also focused on the inclusivity of the energy transition. Stakeholders stressed the importance of engaging citizens by ensuring sector accessibility, simplifying language and interfaces, and involving previously overlooked groups like those facing energy poverty. Notably, WEnnovate is committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups in shaping action plans. Our partners in Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine will organise similar meetings to get insights from stakeholders in their respective regions. Based on this valuable feedback from the energy field experts, we will continue our research to present ecosystem maps later this year. As the next step, we will start co-creating action plans for 4 countries and a joint long-term programme for strengthening innovation ecosystems and incorporating deep tech and digital innovations into the energy transition process. 💸 De toekomst van geld: energie als nieuwe valuta? Vorige week gaf Arash Aazami een inspirerende lezing op ons kantoor in Duiven. De relatie tussen geld en energie stond centraal. We willen je de take-aways niet onthouden: 💡 Geld = Energie: Ons geldsysteem kan alleen maar werken met energie en wij draaien dit om. 💡 Laten we stoppen met vechten tegen het huidige energiesysteem en juist met een beter alternatief komen, zoals het Internet of Energy (IoE). 💡 IoE: Een slim energiebeheer waarbij natuurlijke bronnen on-demand beschikbaar zijn - dat is de toekomst die we kunnen creëren. 💡 Energie als nieuwe munteenheid: Met hernieuwbare energiebronnen in opkomst, wordt energie steeds meer gezien als de valuta van morgen.
