Thank you to everyone who attended our event hosted in collaboration with Ahrend and Gabriel at the Atelier Néerlandais in Paris exploring design for health and well-being. We opened the evening to question, Remode or Remote? Remote working or office working? How do we to find the journey to a healthy and sustainable work and life balance? This thought-provoking night of discussion was continued in inspiring subjects such as the impact of AI on work-satisfaction, changing liveliness of neighbourhoods under the climate of homeworking culture. UNStudio team Ben van Berkel, Aurélie Hsiao 蕭之華 joined in this roundtable talk. We also had the privilege to hear from leading industry experts, including Rolf Verspuij (Ahrend), Cenk Kivrikoglu (Gabriel), Emeline Brevet (Tishman Speyer France), Philip Fimmano (Edelkoort Inc / Trend Union), and Nicolas Ledoux (Arcadis). Together, this evening brought the spotlight to the Remode Chiar, our collaboration product with Ahrend, which embodies our commitment to circularity and well-being in designing for work and life. Our design for Huawei TKL Flagship Store has been shortlisted as one of the finalists in the Dezeen Awards China 2024! ⭐ The winner will be announced during the award ceremony this December in Shanghai! UNStudio has partnered with Huawei, a leading Chinese pioneer in information and communications technology and smart products, to design their new flagship store in Shanghai. The aim is to create a distinct and user-driven customer experience. Working in close collaboration with the Huawei Design team, UNStudio responded to this challenge by devising an experience-rich concept that brings people, nature and technology together and caters to consumer preferences. During Dubai Design Week, UNStudio joined Ahrend to co-host a thought-provoking event on the future of work. There, we explored visions of the future workspace, where flexibility, sustainability and innovation are well balanced. Tessa Bouwman, Marketing Director at Royal Ahrend highlighted how solutions like the Remode chair support dynamic work environments that promote both vitality and eco-consciousness. Our founder and principal architect, Ben van Berkel, gave a presentation on how we create adaptable and hybrid workspaces. Through visionary architecture, he explained how design can enhance flexibility and well-being in today’s offices. The event was closed with an inspiring panel session moderated by Oliver Baxter.
