Chief Accountant

Krka Netherlands is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant with excellent communication skills to manage their rapidly growing Netherlands pharmaceutical business based in Breskens. The role is ideally suited to an ambitious Accountant with knowledge of Controlling, who is seeking a hands-on Accountancy Management role within a large and highly successful pharmaceutical company where they will be working closely with both the management of Krka Netherlands and Belgium, as well as with the European HQ.

CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Required Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• Economics or Business university education (Accounting and Finance).
• Previous experience in Accounting and Controlling in an international company
• Good knowledge of local accounting standards and IFRS and Accounting from A to Z
• Advanced user of MS Office (Excel).
• Experience with accounting software (Navision/Business Central) is an advantage.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Posting business events in the information system (Navision/BC).
• Ensuring corectness and accuracy of data posted in the information system (Navision/BC).
• Checking invoices and supporting documentation.
• Performing the documentary and financial control of the accounting documentation.
• Providing treasury operations (cash and bank operations), posting bank statements.
• Preparing records and postings of fixed assets.
• Participating in the realization of the annual inventory of assets and liabilities.
• Conducting accounting, bookkeeping and other financial operations.
• Fiscal knowledge - monitoring of tax legislation and calculation of taxes.
• Experience with monitoring accounting legislation in Netherlands on a regular basis.
• Experience with reporting for group and statutory purposes according to relevant deadlines.
• Monitoring of tax legislation and accounting standards, calculation of taxes and other charges.
• Preparing financial statements and other reports according to local legislation and IFRS.

The ability to manage a broad and varied workload while remaining open to communication at all levels across the organization will be key for the successful candidate. First-rate attention to detail, advanced data analytics skills, and wide-ranging tax, compliance, and business management knowledge are essential.
