With a room full of companies and speakers, today's session was packed with useful insights from sector specialists, engaging debates, and shared learnings from entrepreneurs that successfully (and not so successfully!) entered the US market. Here are a few takeaways: 🎯 Understanding Pain Points: Figure out the pain points of your target audience and how your product can alleviate these issues. This understanding is key to developing solutions that truly meet market needs. 💸 Cost of Change: It's crucial to not discount the cost of change. Does your solution offer benefits outweighing the hassle of implementation? Aim for impactful innovations that justify the transition. 🤔 Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and articulate value propositions for each stakeholder, including providers, payors, and patients. Tailoring your approach to each group can significantly enhance buy-in and support. 🦺 Visibility: Show face and be visible! Attend conferences and don't hesitate to reach out to experts. 🥼 Meeting with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs): Prepare! Engaging KOLs is akin to going on a date: share a little and ask a lot. Use the funnel approach, starting with unaided questions gradually moving to aided ones to keep an open mind and avoid priming your target. ⚖️ Legal Considerations: The US legal system has significant differences compared to most European countries. Having an excellent legal sparring partner is vital, as asking vague questions can be very costly. Ensure you have clear and precise legal guidance, including securing your IP!
