We design and build autonomous waterfront clean up tech to stop new plastic reaching our oceans
Om oss
The UN has identified marine pollution as the world's fastest-growing environmental challenge. An estimated 4.8 to 12.7 million tons of plastic waste infiltrate the oceans annually, equivalent to a truckload every minute throughout the year. Once in the seas, up to 94 percent (WWF, 2018) sinks to the seabed, breaking down into micro-plastic particles over time. Consequently, it is imperative to implement measures preventing plastic waste inflow before it reaches open oceans. Clean Sea Solutions was founded with the vision of creating commercially and environmentally sustainable tech solutions for waterfront areas. Our mission is to curb and prevent the influx of marine plastic waste into oceans, contributing to global ocean sustainability. Focused on developing systems for efficient plastic waste cleanup near the shore, we collaborate with established partners in the Norwegian offshore, autonomy, and maritime industries. Together, we pioneer innovative stationary and autonomous solutions tailored for collecting plastic waste in lakes, canals, rivers, harbors, marinas, and other waterfront areas, utilizing resources for maximum impact. Furthermore, our commitment extends to integrating cutting-edge technology. We incorporate computer vision and data collection mechanisms for real-time insights and enhance the impact of our efforts through automated sustainability reporting. By combining environmental responsibility with technological innovation, we strive for a cleaner and healthier future for our oceans.

Have you seen the Aquapod in action? 🛠️ This small but mighty device has been quietly cleaning up Trondheim’s harbor, one piece of trash at a time. Not only does it keep Brattørabassenget visibly cleaner, but it also collects valuable data about what’s floating around. Talk about working smarter, not harder! Learn more about how this innovative project came to life—head over to our website. 💬

🌊 The Plastic Problem: Actions Must Speak Louder A recent analysis revealed that companies promising to tackle plastic waste produced 1,000 times more plastic than they removed from the environment in five years. While recycling and cleanup efforts matter, they can’t keep up with the sheer volume of new plastic being produced. At Clean Sea Solutions, we believe in tackling the root causes of plastic pollution. Our technologies, like the Aquapod and Clean Sea Vision, are designed to not only remove waste but also provide actionable insights for creating cleaner waterways and reducing environmental impact. It’s time to prioritize sustainable solutions over promises. Let’s work together to build a future where our oceans are thriving, not drowning in waste. 👉 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eRzWjJCV #PlasticPollution #MarineConservation #Sustainability #CleanOceans #InnovativeSolutions #CleanTech
