We are happy to share that we have successfully carried out a major update and enrichment of product data in EqHub.   Prysmian, which are currently delivering over 300 different cable variants from Draka successfully performed a major enrichment of their data and documents in EqHub, with steady support from the EqHub team. Instead of updating data for each product individually, it was done for all relevant products in one go.  This process helped to significantly speed up the upgrading of data in EqHub, added to the data standardisation as well as data clean-up.   We are thankful to Snorre Odberg Lien, Product Management Specialist Oil & Gas at Prysmian for his kind words of support for our team:  💬 “We would like to thank the EqHub team for the great support they provided. 🚀 We’ve just launched the much-anticipated EqHub & GS1 integration! 🎉 Now, GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) data can be verified and populated directly in EqHub. 🔍 Who is GS1? GS1 is a global non-profit organization that develops barcode standards and company prefixes, used by over 2 million companies worldwide 🌍. 🔍 What is GTIN? GTIN is a unique identifier for trade items, developed by GS1. It’s used to retrieve product information from databases, often via barcode scanners. Its universality ensures accurate product matching across different systems. 🔍 How it works: ✅ In EqHub, a data provider can link a product's GTIN to its associated EqHub ID. After submitting the GTIN, EqHub sends a request to GS1's API. If the response is successful, the EqHub ID is populated with associated metadata associated from the specified GTIN. ✅ All previously entered GTIN are checked and validated by EqHub, using the same API.  ✅ Two new fields connected to GTIN are now included in the export from the search results, namely "GTIN validated" and "GTIN product name". Our team continues improving EqHub in 2025 — adding additional value and needed features and improvements 🚀 In our latest release our team has focused on a new feature requested by our users: Chat for Verifier and Data provider. ✔ During a verification process, it is now possible for Verifier and Data provider to message each other through the system. ✔ The chat will be visible for the Verifier and Data provider on the Verifications tab of the Product/Assembly details page. ✔ Messages can be sent from moment the Verifier has been assigned until the product revision is approved.
