Leveraging advanced inflow control technology
Efficient design and application of autonomous inflow control technology for oil extraction hinges on effectively differentiating and controlling fluid phases based on viscosity and density. Advanced inflow control technologies such as the RCP type AICD, AICV and D-AICD play an increasingly critical role in optimizing well performance.
AICD (RCP type Autonomous Inflow Control Device):
AICDs adapt mainly to viscosity differences between oil and water or gas. In cases with high viscosity oil, the AICDs can be used to hold back water. In light oil systems, these valves can be used to suppress gas production.
A-ICV (Autonomous Inflow Control Valve):
AICVs adapt to both viscosity and density differences. In cases where oil and water have similar viscosities, they differentiate the phases based on density, reducing water production. The AICVs are generally efficient in suppressing gas production.
D-AICD & DAR (Density based Autonomous Inflow Control Device):
D-AICDs focus on density differences, dynamically adjusting flow paths using real-time density measurements. This ensures effective separation and control of water and gas.
