🤝 Clean Energy News: Höegh Evi and SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH to develop clean hydrogen supply chains for Germany and Europe Höegh Evi is partnering with SEFE, one of the largest energy suppliers to industrial customers in Europe, to develop and implement international supply chains for clean #hydrogen using ammonia. The agreement will focus on the technical and commercial development of a supply chain that encompasses: ✅ Sourcing of #ammonia ✅ Transportation of ammonia by ship and delivery to floating import terminals ✅ Operation of floating import terminals and cracking of ammonia into hydrogen using the Höegh floating ammonia-to-hydrogen cracker ✅ Delivery to SEFE customers through the German hydrogen core grid. The cooperation will also identify possible locations for floating ammonia-to-hydrogen terminals along Germany’s Baltic Sea and North Sea coasts, as well as other potential locations in Europe. Ove Dines Høegh, former Chairman of Leif Høegh & Co. and key architect of the Höegh maritime legacy, passed away peacefully on 11th January 2025 at the age of 88. Ove shaped the Höegh businesses over seven decades. He leaves a legacy of innovation, entrepreneurship and integrity. Under Ove's leadership, Leif Høegh & Co. embraced new concepts and groundbreaking innovations, including the world’s first Moss-type LNG carrier, the Norman Lady. This expansion into the maritime LNG segment would evolve and grow into today's Höegh Evi. Beyond this, Ove’s lasting impact extends to the company culture and the loyalty of both past and present employees, many of whom shared his seafaring and naval background. Ove championed social responsibility, and under his leadership the Höegh ships quietly participated in humanitarian efforts including rescuing Vietnamese boat refugees, delivering aid during famine crises, and conducting war evacuations. Höegh Evi is grateful to Ove Høegh for his contributions and lifelong dedication to our company. He will be remembered as a transformative leader and a man of character.
