Our partner, Silverfort, recently released The Identity Underground report. Silverfort’s research team analyzed authentication telemetry and configuration data from hundreds of product environments, and compiled a list of Identity Threat Exposures that attackers exploit to launch identity-based attacks. Among other things, they found that two thirds of businesses routinely synchronize most of their users’ passwords from their on-prem directories to their cloud counterparts, which inadvertently migrates on-prem identity weaknesses to the cloud environment.
