Medu Group has grown rapidly over the past two years. This growth demands restructuring and building also within the different parts of our business. May Kristin Svenkerud was brought in to Medu early in 2023, to lead the development and growth of our Norwegian distribution business. For more than one year the first two portfolio companies in this business have been living together. For almost the same amount of time, May Kristin and the team have prepared for a common future. Avalon Medical became Medu Norge in january. As of this week Enimed AS is officially also Medu Norge AS: Important milestones in the building of Medu, that make out the foundation we need to continue growing in the Norwegian market. Congratulations to you all!

A warm welcome to Skjervheimgruppen – the latest member of the Medu family! With this acquisition, Medu enters a new market.   Skjervheimgruppen is a company with an outstanding footprint in the Norwegian market of infant health centers (helsestasjoner). Since 2009 they have been preferred partner to their customers, helping them support and safekeep newborns and their parents, during the magic first days, months and years of a new life.   – For Medu, Skjervheimgruppen is a perfect portfolio fit; they are quality and customer focused, have a strong market position and reputation, and they truly understand and support their customers and their «patients», says Torkild Stenbock, Medu CEO. With Johannes Skjervheim and Skjervheimgruppen on board, Medu Norge expands their portfolio and market, with yet more high quality products.   – As a small niche company we are excited to join Medu and become part of something bigger. 💥 MEDU MILESTONE 💥 Proudly presenting: Medu Norge AS. After two years as part of the Medu family Avalon Medical AS is now officially Medu Norge AS. This is the start of our journey towards building our nordic medtech distribution brand in the different nordic markets. May Kristin Svenkerud and the Avalon-team has done amazing work over the last year, adjusting and preparing the organization for future growth.

Avalon Medical AS was the second Medu acquisition. The Oslo-based company has supported Norwegian health care with advanced medtech equipment since 1997. Today, Avalon has a strong foothold in the market, especially within patient monitoring and anesthesia/intensive care. Lead by former GE-manager, May Kristin Svenkerud, the Avalon business is deeply rooted in competence; not just about the equipment they sell, but also about the clinical and practical use of the equipment.

What a year 2023 has been - for me and for Medu Group! We have grown by almost 100 people, adding four new companies to our family and portfolio, covering several new markets. We are truly Grateful for the opportunities, challenges and the collaboration Serendipity Partners, Johan Folkunger and Petter Solum gives us in the Medu Group! Most inspiring of it all are the many great people-meetings I have had during these past 12 months. Meetings with people who have built their own businesses, who have a clear vision of what and why they are building, backed with tons of passion and engagement. With the recent acquisition of Conworx Service GmbH, yet more skilled and dedicated people are part of Medu Group. People with great knowledge and experience, with ideas and thoughts that we need to bring us forward, with personalities and traits that build a strong team. And meeting these people inspire me like nothing else. My meetings with Dieter Kern, the founder of Conworx, have certainly inspired me. I first met Dieter in a strategy meeting back in May 2021. He immediately struck me as assertive, knowledgeable, driven, enthusiastic and professional to the bone. In the service segment he was clearly highly respected, and perceived as a natural leader. During the acquisition process of Conworx this autumn, I have had the chance to meet Dieter again, several times. He has impressed and inspired me with his strong customer focus, his passion for quality, and his drive to keep developing, keep growing, keep exploring new opportunities.   Over many years Dieter has been very dedicated to his vision of a European “one stop opportunity” for service on lab and medtech equipment. A common platform for vital service and maintenance across Europe, built on a foundation of high quality. Having this kind of dedication and drive, after more than 20 years in the industry, is something I really admire. Dieter is also the kind of leader who not only has great ideas, but who believes that collaboration will make even more out of the ideas. He supports, he drives opportunities for others, and he seeks dialogue and discussions, to lift his ideas and be inspired by others. The drive for new business opportunities, combined with a strong focus on quality, AND the belief that we will do better together, sharing the opportunities, is what makes Dieter so unique. My last conversation with Dieter left me thinking that with these kind of people on board, we have all the chances in the world, of building something great.
