Norwegian Hydrogen is be a key contributor to the green transition through our development, ownership and operation of infrastructure for green hydrogen. We drive the transition to zero-emission solutions with hydrogen across several customer segments.
🚀 Big news for hydrogen mobility in the Nordics! 🚀
VIREON has secured its largest-ever grant—over 10M EUR—to establish Norway’s first hydrogen refueling corridor for heavy-duty transport! This funding from Enova SF marks a major milestone in our mission to build a Nordic-wide hydrogen refueling network.
What this means:
✅ A four-station corridor between Trondheim and Oslo
✅ Green hydrogen available at 350 and 700 bar
✅ Redundant routes for truck drivers to ensure reliability
✅ A fleet of hydrogen transport containers for efficient distribution
🎉 A huge team effort!
This achievement is a testament to the hard work of Team Vireon and our partners.
🤝 Now, let’s make it happen!
To push hydrogen mobility forward, we need collaboration across the value chain—from transport companies to OEMs and financial institutions. Let’s work together to make zero-emission transport a reality!

🌟 How can a classroom shape the future of sustainability? 🌟
The "Sustainability Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities" course at London Business School—a course I designed and taught last year—has been recognized with the Financial Times Responsible Business Education Award! 🌍🎓🏆
This course was built around a simple but powerful idea: that sustainability leadership isn’t just about strategy; it’s about people. By focusing on case studies of LBS alumni who are leading the way in sustainability, the course gave students the opportunity to learn directly from those navigating the complexities of embedding sustainability into real businesses. From energy and timber to luxury goods and outdoor apparel, these stories helped bridge the gap between theory and practice.
It was inspiring to watch students bring their full curiosity and creativity to every discussion. They didn’t just absorb ideas; they questioned them, pushed boundaries, and explored their own potential as future leaders. Their energy and commitment made every session deeply rewarding. 🙌✨
The course was enriched by the incredible alumni who shared their stories: Salman Alam, Jens Berge, Christoph Kulterer, Laura Chavez, Angela Cretu, Andy Rubin, and Sara Brennan. Their candid accounts of making tough decisions and driving change across industries left a lasting impact on everyone in the classroom.
I’m especially proud that one of these cases, featuring Laura Chavez’s groundbreaking work with lab-grown diamonds at Lark & Berry, was recently published in the Financial Times. Her story is a testament to the power of bold, values-driven leadership to reshape an industry. You can read it here: https://lnkd.in/eB33RJDf
This award reflects the efforts of so many. A heartfelt thanks to the Alumni, Advancement, and Teaching Innovation teams at LBS, and to the students whose passion and thoughtfulness made this course truly special.
As sustainability becomes a central challenge for businesses worldwide, I ask: How will we prepare ourselves to lead with courage, purpose, and impact? 💡🌱

In partnership with Provaris Energy, we are taking major steps toward Europe's green transition. Together, we’ve signed a conditional Term Sheet with Uniper for the supply, transport, and offtake of RFNBO-certified hydrogen from the Nordics to North-Western Europe, paving the way for Europe’s first large-scale hydrogen marine transport project. 🌍⚡
What does this mean?
✅ 42,500 tonnes of RFNBO-certified green hydrogen annually with targeted start-up in 2029.
✅ Transported via Provaris' innovative H2Neo compressed hydrogen carriers.
✅ Supporting Europe’s 2030 decarbonization goals.

🌟 Dear friends of Norwegian Hydrogen,
2024 has been a pivotal year for us. This was the year we transitioned into operations, consistently delivering green hydrogen to our customers. 🌱
As the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to reflect on some of the highlights that made 2024 so special.
We began the year in January with an exciting milestone: signing a contract with Veidekke for the supply of green hydrogen. This marked the start of a journey filled with achievements.
In March, we were honored to receive a €9 million grant from the European Union for the CONVEY project, strengthening our role in Europe’s growing hydrogen landscape. 🇪🇺
April brought yet another proud moment as we celebrated the first production of molecules at our Hjørring site. 🏭
May was a month of partnerships and growth, where we formalized collaboration agreements with Maris Fiducia, HAV Hydrogen AS, and Ankerbeer, alongside securing an important delivery contract with Cyan Energy AS. 🤝
In June, our maritime partners were awarded an incredible NOK 600 million in grants for hydrogen-powered ships ⚓—a powerful testament to the strength of the hydrogen ecosystem we are building together.
This same month saw us begin commercial deliveries in Hellesylt—a truly momentous achievement —and we were honored to be recognized in Forbes.
In August, we entered a strategic partnership with Provaris Energy and Uniper to strengthen regional hydrogen supply. 🚀
We also proudly hosted the Grand Hydrogen Debate at Arendalsuka for the third consecutive year—always a highlight of our summer! 🎤
September was a month to remember as we celebrated the grand opening of Hellesylt Hydrogen Hub. 🎉 What a day it was! With perfect weather, a scenic fjord cruise, and inspiring speeches from esteemed guests, it was truly unforgettable.
Later that month, Veidekke deepened our partnership by choosing us to supply hydrogen for their second asphalt plant. 🛣️
In October, we signed a major delivery agreement with Greeniron H2 AB, solidifying our growing role in industrial hydrogen applications. 🏗️
By November, we concluded the year with a strategic partnership with HydePoint to accelerate green hydrogen projects in near-shore and offshore markets. 🌊
Reflecting on 2024, we are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together. None of this would be possible without our valued customers, visionary partners, and dedicated team—all of us frontrunners pushing the boundaries every day toward a greener future. 🌍 At a time when the urgency of climate change has never been greater, the importance of real and tangible action cannot be overstated!
Thank you for being part of this exciting journey. We look ahead to 2025 with great optimism and anticipation for the opportunities we will create together. ✨
🎄 Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Prosperous New Year filled with opportunities, growth, and success!
Warm regards,
Team Norwegian Hydrogen 💚
