𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 Wow! What a fantastic event in Westminster last night talking all-things identity theft, AI and deepfake fraud and more during Cyber Monday. We had the privilege of welcoming many guest speakers to discuss their insights into the fraud epidemic and how we tackle the rising threat. Luke Charters MP kicked-off the session, highlighting that fraud not only “ruins lives” but impacts people’s mental health and confidence. Phil Brickell MP followed, underlining how the “response to fraud has to be a holistic one” and called for a national conversation. He also spoke about the Economic Crime Manifesto, which you can read here: https://lnkd.in/euWeRBif Requesting more collaboration from big tech, telco and law enforcement, NatWest’s Nick Perkins also discussed the many opportunities AI presented in catching fraudsters. Our very own Mike Haley spoke about how identity fraud was on an “industrial scale” and reiterated the work of our Cifas Fraud Pledges in requesting more from the Government and how we’re calling for a refresh of the Fraud Strategy.
