We love how our colleagues in Skretting Australia have helped collect 15,000 used feed bags since June last year, as part of the Big Bag Recovery programme. Their efforts have helped divert nearly 50 tonnes of plastic from landfill. Kudos to them, and also to Tassal Group, Huon, and Petuna Aquaculture! Here at Skretting, red is who we are. It stands for our knowledge, friendliness, and boldness. It represents the passion we have for our industry and our purpose of Feeding the Future. And of course, how much we love being a part of Skretting. We are very proud of our journey so far; our rich 125 year heritage, and the products and solutions that have made a difference for our customers all over the world. But as the world around us is changing, we have to evolve too. Even though you'll notice that we look a bit different on the outside, our values and purpose remain constant. So does our distinctive Skretting red. It's really the same old us, with an even greater focus on innovation and sustainability, and a stronger drive to achieve results by collaborating across the value chain. We are Skretting, a pioneer and your preferred partner. #FeedingtheFuture

Happy International Day for Women and Girls in Science! SOL GOMEZ DE LA TORRE CANNY is a Researcher in Skretting Aquaculture Innovation, and she gives her mother and grandmother credit for the scientist she has become. "Growing up, my grandma and mom encouraged me to be whoever I wanted to be. My mom taught me the values of curiosity and observation—there’s always something to learn from people and experiences." Despite limited financial resources at home, Sol was gifted books and popular science magazines which fueled her teenage dream of saving the world through science. Today, she gets to do incredible things like working with bacteria and viruses, harnessing their biological 'superpowers' for disease prevention in fish and shrimp. Little Sol would have been so proud. #SkrettingInnovates #FeedingtheFuture

We would like to welcome Gordon Ritchie back to Nutreco and to the Skretting family, where he has just started as Global Product Manager Salmon Health! Gordon holds a BSc in marine and environmental biology from the University of St Andrews, and a PhD in sea lice from the University of Aberdeen. He worked as a fish health researcher and then Fish Health Technical Manager in Nutreco until 2007, and then VP Fish Health in Mowi until 2012. Since then he has held the position of Group Manager Fish Health & Welfare where he was responsible for fish health and overseeing fish health research activities in the Global R&D and Technical department. It's his second day on the job, but Gordon has already started on some exciting projects. We can't reveal more at this point, but what we can say is 'Welcome home!' #SkrettingInnovates #FeedingtheFuture

At Skretting, we have nutritional solutions formulated to cater to them throughout their life stages. 🎬 Get ready for the second episode of our #OceanTitans series, proudly supported by the World Ocean Council and featured on Reuters! 🦐 This episode showcases our partnerships across the farmed shrimp value chain, highlighting how we’re working together to provide healthy, sustainable shrimp for a growing population. Already today, more than half of global seafood production comes from aquaculture. As demand for healthy, sustainable seafood grows, so does the need for alternative feed ingredients, like Veramaris natural marine algae oil, rich in Omega-3 EPA and DHA. Ingredients are the foundation that builds partnerships, and that's what 𝗨𝗡 𝗦𝗗𝗚 #𝟭𝟳: 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 is all about. 🤝 A big thank you to our #FoodSecurity partners: Skretting Ecuador, Skretting, Santa Priscila, Chef Christopher Rieloff and Pacific Coral Seafood. 👀 Watch the full episode by following this link! https://lnkd.in/eeDgqeFD #SustainableSeafood #PartnershipsForTheGoals
