On the 13th of May, our CEO Tore H. attended the Adventure Debt summit in Luxembourg, hosted by the the European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB).  In this summit, SMART OCEAN was unveiled as one of 20 “EU Blue Champions”  who will receive advisory support and the potential access to substantial growth capital. The award was presented by Ambroise Fayolle, EIB Vice-President, and Kestutis Sadauskas, Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries with the EU Blue Champions. © European Union. Last week our founders Tore H. and David Halvorsen Roeisland attended the #BlueInvestDay2024, as a presenting company. #BlueInvest is an EU initiative supporting innovative technologies and solutions for the blue economy. The ambition is to increase innovation and investments within European technologies focusing on impact within the ocean space / blue economy. Within the following spaces; 🐟 Aquaculture: novel aqua feed, sustainable inland/offshore systems, bio-tech 🌊 Blue renewable energy: advancing value chains, offshore expansion 📊 Blue tech and ocean observation: data collection and ocean conservation As a presenting company, SMART OCEAN competed for the “Blue Invest Award”, and we are proud to be selected as winner for category III: “Blue Deep Tech and Ocean Observation”.
