Event Recap: SPE Oslo Live Distinguished Lecture with Dr. Muhammad Arsalan This week, SPE Oslo Section hosted an insightful Distinguished Lecture featuring Dr. Muhammad Arsalan, an award-winning expert in intelligent completions and reservoir management. The event brought together professionals from across the industry to explore "New Frontiers in Intelligent Completions." Dr. Arsalan shared groundbreaking advancements in Thru-tubing Retrievable Intelligent Completion System (TRICS), a rig-less, modular solution that redefines production engineering for open-hole horizontal wells. Attendees gained valuable insights into tackling challenges like reservoir uncertainties and optimizing production through cutting-edge technologies.  The evening also included vibrant networking opportunities over dinner and drinks, fostering connections and meaningful discussions among attendees.  A big thank you to all who joined us for this event and made it a success. The agenda will include a technical speech by Rick Chalaturnyk, Prof. of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Alberta and SPE Distinguished Lecturer.

The SPE Oslo section was honored to have arranged a technical Christmas dinner where our guest Babak Moradi presented an excellent presentation about: “Waterflood Optimization by Data Analytics on Mature Fields- Accelerated the Field Developing Process from Months to Weeks” Around 30 colleagues have joined the friendly gathering and enjoyed the dinner after the presentation.
